The hair extension illustratively includes a plurality of supplemental hairs and an attachment band that provides means for removably coupling the plurality of supplemental hairs to natural hairs included in the person's head of hair. The attachment band is illustratively flexible and couples to natural hairs included in the person's head of hair mechanically.

Abstract: A remote unit includes an electronics assembly, a housing, and a fastening member. The electronics assembly includes a communications module and an image sensor, having a lens with a field of view, that captures images of a display of a meter. The housing includes a cover coupled to a base member. The base member couples to the meter and includes an aperture. The electronics assembly is retained between the base member and the cover, such that the lens aligns with the aperture. The fastening member receives a portion of the housing in a hollow section. A mechanism of the fastening member attaches to a portion of the meter, maintaining the display in the field of view. The communications module transmits image data, derived from the captured images, to a hub unit. The hub unit processes the image data, and forwards information extracted from the image data to a remote server.

Abstract: Certain examples of apparatus for applying fluid in a printing system are described. The apparatus comprise a first chamber having a first aperture extending along a first axis, and a second chamber having a second aperture extending along a second axis, wherein the first axis is substantially parallel to the second axis. The second chamber is movable with respect to the first chamber. Also, methods for supplying a fluid, and printing systems are described.

Abstract: The beta 2 subunit of mouse hemoglobin (HBB2) has been identified as soluble factor from mouse lungs that exhibits cytostatic/cytotoxic activity against neuroblastoma lung micrometastases. The beta subunit of human hemoglobin (HBB) has been found to have similar activity. Methods of using these proteins and fragments thereof in the treatment of cancer and inhibition of metastasis are provided, along with methods of screening a subject for micrometastases by detecting HBB in a biological sample.

Abstract: Systems and method for determining whether to apply a liquid adhesive to a chip substrate based on a measured wetting angle are disclosed. According to the disclosed systems and methods, the chip substrate is treated, for example, by cleaning and activating the chip substrate surface with energetic plasma. One or more liquid adhesive drops are dispensed on the treated chip substrate surface. A camera captures a top-down image of the one or more liquid adhesive drops. The wetting angle between the liquid adhesive drops is calculated based on the image and volume data of the liquid adhesive drops. A layer of the liquid adhesive is applied to the chip substrate based on the calculated wetting angle and predetermined parameters.
