  • Patent number: 6192579
Abstract: There is provided a tape carrier in which the degree of freedom of a fine wiring pattern is enhanced by reducing the diameter of a via pad so that the pitch of the wiring pattern can be made fine, and a metallic ball can be positively joined to the via pad even if the diameter of the metallic ball is extended to as large as possible. A tape carrier comprises: a metallic wiring 3 formed on one side of a tape base material 1 through an adhesive layer 2; and a plurality of via holes 4 formed on the other side of the tape base material 1, via pads 3b of the metallic wiring 3 being exposed to the plurality of via holes 4, wherein internal wall surfaces of the via holes, which have been formed by punching the tape material 5, on one side of which the adhesive layer 2 is formed, are subjected to coining-press from the other side of the tape base material 1, so that the via holes 4 are formed into tapered holes 7, the diameters of the opening portions 6 of which are extended.

  • Patent number: 5859471
Abstract: In a lead frame adapted to be used for a semiconductor device, a plurality of inner leads are made of a thin conductive material for easily forming a fine pattern of the inner leads. A plurality of outer leads are integrally formed with the respective inner leads. The outer leads are coated with metal layers to increase the thickness thereof, so that a desired strength of the outer leads is obtained. A semiconductor chip is electrically connected to the inner leads. The semiconductor chip and a part of the lead frame including the inner leads are hermetically sealed with a resin and, thus, a semiconductor device is obtained.

  • Patent number: 5360181
Abstract: An auto-paster adapted to press a paper web which is drawn out from one paper roll out of a plurality of paper rolls supported on a paper roll support frame, and which runs forward, against the circumferential surface of another paper roll by pressing members and bond the paper web to a paper web from the second-mentioned paper roll, having at least an operating force applying arrangement for operating the pressing members quickly so as to press the paper web in motion against the circumferential surface of the second-mentioned paper roll, and a pressing force applying arrangement for suppressing the bouncing of the pressing members occurring after the pressing members have come into operation, the auto-paster being further provided as necessary with a control apparatus for controlling the operation timing of the pressing force applying arrangement.

  • Patent number: 4715922
Abstract: An automatic paper roll pasting apparatus, for sequentially and continually feeding a continuous strip of paper, or a paper web, to a rotary press from a plurality of paper rolls, having a paper roll support capable of accommodating at least two paper rolls, a mechanism for measuring a value relating to the diameter of a paper roll newly mounted on the paper roll support, and a mechanism for controlling the revolution of the new paper roll, and constructed so that the revolution of the new paper roll is caused to agree with a desired revolution calculated from the revolution of a paper web which is currently fed to the rotary press, thus enabling the new paper roll to be pasted to the running paper web automatically.
