  • Patent number: 5482495
Abstract: An apparatus for polishing spherical surfaces of workpieces includes a polishing device rotating on a shaft thereof while holding a polishing tool at an end of the shaft. A pivoting device pivots the polishing device around a polishing position of the tool. A plurality of workpiece holders each hold a workpiece at an end thereof so that one of the workpieces is opposed to the tool. Workpiece holder-holding devices hold the workpiece holders so as to be rotatably and vertically movably. A workpiece holder-pressing device presses at least one of the workpiece holders held by the workpiece holder-holding device against the tool. A rotary table rotates while holding the workpiece holders and the workpiece holder-holding devices, thus placing at least one of the workpiece holders at a workpiece replacing position when the other of the workpiece holders is placed at the polishing position of the polishing device.

  • Patent number: 5184651
Abstract: A wire winding apparatus for connecting a plurality of fine wires and a surface-insulated solid wire such as an enamel coated wire. Clamp members clamp an end of the solid wire. Then a winding mechanism pinches an end of the plurality of fine wires with a predetermined force and rotate around the clamped solid wire. During the winding operations, a moving mechanism moves the winding mechanism in a direction of the clamped end of the solid wire. Prior to winding, any excess of the solid wire and plurality of fine wires is trimmed away. After the winding, the solid wire and plurality of fine wires are mechanically and electrically connected.

  • Patent number: 4138835
Abstract: A method and apparatus for preparing a casing loaded with a plurality of articles such as small-sized electronic parts for use in the electronic industries, which ensures that the stored parts will be positively and stably aligned in the casing without the possibility of any play or disorientation from their regular positioning within the casing. The casing is provided with a single piece resilient element which is inserted into the casing, the resilient element being designed to resiliently expand against the inner wall surface of the casing to frictionally engage therewith. Thereafter, a plurality of parts are inserted one after another into the casing so that they become stacked in a serially aligned manner inside the casing against the resilient force of the resilient element, thus preparing a casing loaded with a plurality of parts therein stacked in a serially end-to-end resting state.
