  • Patent number: 8065081
Abstract: Data is shared between a vehicle mounted navigation device and a vehicle mounted user interface device and among a plurality of vehicle mounted user interface devices. In a first location free display that allows a plurality of users to separately have access to the navigation device, external data obtained from the navigation device or from another location free display and its own user data are saved and managed, and shared with the navigation device and the another location free display. It is possible to utilize the external data not owned by itself or the user data of another person with the navigation device or the another location free display and perform a navigation process in an inner space of the vehicle efficiently.

  • Patent number: 7933412
Abstract: Display devices are connected with a content server mounted inside a vehicle by a wireless communication technology as stipulated in IEEE802.11b. The content server and display devices share common keys (encryption key and corresponding decryption key) acted on by key creation information consisting of information about the vehicle. The content server reads out stored contents according to requests from the display devices. The read contents are then encrypted using the encryption key shared with the display devices and sent to the display devices. The invention can be applied to a wireless communication system consisting of devices which communicate data by wireless communication technology within the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 7738499
Abstract: An audio/video synchronizing system and a monitor apparatus can provide a set of contents where the images and the sounds of the contents show lip synchronization to the user so that the user may not have any strange and uneasy feeling if only the images are transmitted wirelessly. A contents server outputs sounds of a set of contents at a timing delayed by an initial delay time (1 second) that is greater than the transmission delay time according to the PTS and the DTS defined by the contents server by taking the largest transmission delay into consideration. The monitor corrects the time base of the STC added to the video packets according to the transmission delay time and subsequently outputs the images according to the SCR, the time base of which is corrected, and the PTS and the DTS, for which the initial delay time is defined.

  • Patent number: 7428246
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for packetizing a coded bitstream of digital data in accordance with a transport protocol. Packetizer receives MPEG4 stream from an encoder and translates it into MPEG2-PEG packet. A multiplexer receives the stream of the MPEG2-PEG packet form and transports a stream of MPEG2-TS form as a transport output signal. The packetizer detects a header from the MPEG4 stream and analyzes the header to obtain predetermined information from Video_Object_Layer header and Video_Object_Plane header. The packetizer generates the time information such as ESCR, DTS, and PTS using the predetermined information and an initial value of ESCR supplied from outside. The PES header including such time information is generated. The packetizer further generates the MPEG2-PES packet in sequence with the generated PES header added into every AU of the MPEG4 stream and obtains the stream of MPEG2-PEG packet form.

  • Publication number: 20030193940
Abstract: Packetizer 102A receives MPEG4 stream STM1 from encoder 101 and translates it into MPEG2-PEG packet. Multiplexer 103 receives stream STM2 of the MPEG2-PEG packet form and transports a stream STM3 of MPEG2-TS form as a transport output signal. The packetizer 102A detects a header from the MPEG4 stream STM1. It analyzes the header, detects predetermined information from Video_Object_Layer header and Video_Object_Plane header, and generates the time information such as ESCR, DTS, and PTS using the predetermined information and at initial value of ESCR supplied from outside. The PES header including such time information is generated. The packetizer 102A generates the MPEG2-PES packet in sequence with adding the PES header thus generated into every AU of the MPEG4 stream STM1 and obtains the stream STM2.

  • Publication number: 20020053049
Abstract: An encoding-multiplexing apparatus capable of reliably transmitting input data having high priority in accordance with priority information of input data and a receiver which decodes data transmitted from the encoding-multiplexing apparatus, in accordance with the priority information can be realized. In an outer encoding section 33, an error correction code having error correction ability according to the priority information of the input data is added to the input data in order to generate a fixed-length packet and moreover, said priority information is written in at a prescribed position of the fixed-length packet. Then, a plurality of packets are multiplexed and transmitted. The receiver extracts only a packet of a desired program from the plurality of packets and also, extracts priority information from the extracted packet, in order to perform a decoding based on the priority information.
