  • Patent number: 6906693
Abstract: Image data that has been recorded on a memory card inserted into a digital still camera is read out. When a light-admission switch is turned on, an amount of correction suited outdoor use of the camera is set. A light-admission window opens so that the back side of a liquid crystal display panel is illuminated by outside light allowed to enter from the light-admission window. As a result, an image corrected based upon the amount of correction set for outdoor use of the camera is displayed. This makes it easier to see an image displayed on the liquid crystal display panel even when the camera is used outdoors.

  • Publication number: 20050099652
Abstract: Image data stored in a memory of a portable communication apparatus is read by an adapter device in response to that the portable communication apparatus is connected to a connector of the adapter device. Subsequently, the portable communication apparatus starts communicating with a charging server and, simultaneously, a print image selection screen is displayed on a LCD. A user selects images and the number of prints of each image in the print image selection screen. Printing is executed when a print button is operated after the user finished selecting the images and the number of prints of each image. After printing is completed, the communication from the portable communication apparatus to the charging server is cut off. The charging server charges telecommunication charge to the portable communication apparatus based on the duration of communication with the charging server.

  • Publication number: 20040233650
Abstract: A multilayer wiring board on which multiple components are overlappingly mounted. The multilayer wiring board includes: a first surface on which a first component among the multiple components is mounted; and a second surface whose height in a thickness direction of the multilayer wiring board is smaller than that of the first surface, by which a step is provided between the first surface and the second surface, a second component among the multiple components being mounted on the second surface to partially overlap the first component in a non-contact manner, the second surface also having a light-transmitting window through which light is transmitted.

  • Publication number: 20040085470
Abstract: A digital camera capable of simplifying detailed checking of a captured image. When a release switch instructs image capture, a CCD image-captures a subject. If an ON state detection section detects continuation of an ON state of the release switch after this image capture instruction, a display control section controls such that the captured image is displayed at an LCD monitor to the extent of the duration of the ON state of the release switch. Additionally, when a zoom button or cross-key button issues an instruction relating to the image display during the ON state, size, position or the like of a display object region of the captured image, which display object region is displayed at the LCD monitor, is changed.

  • Publication number: 20030117503
Abstract: Upon the activation of a system, an activation program that at the least is required for activating an image pickup unit is fetched to a buffer memory and is executed to enable photographing. Thus, when a release button is manipulated, image data obtained by the image pickup unit is stored in the buffer memory, and thereafter the remaining activation programs, including a program for obtaining information associated with a memory card, are fetched to the buffer memory and are executed. Since, prior to other processes such as the acquisition of information associated with the memory card, only the process for activating the image pickup unit is performed to quickly activate the system and enable photographing, the time required for activation from when power is switched on until photographing is enabled is shortened, and the probability that a photo opportunity will be lost is reduced considerably.

  • Publication number: 20010033741
Abstract: When a digital still camera stores moving image data in an image memory card, audio data obtained by a microphone and audio data of desired music obtained from a music memory card are mixed at a desired mixing ratio, and the mixed audio data is stored in the image memory card with the moving image data. Thereby, audio such as background music can be recorded at the shooting, and the reproduction of the moving image is enjoyable.

  • Patent number: 5745172
Abstract: A luminance signal obtained by negative-positive inverting and gamma-correcting a signal indicating an image on a negative film and a contour correction signal Y.sub.ap generated from the luminance signal Y are input, and a signal Y.sub.ap1 and a signal Y.sub.ap2 are obtained by an adder, a subtractor and an adder in accordance with following equations :Y.sub.ap1 =Y.sub.ap -kY, Y.sub.ap2 =Y.sub.ap +kY,where K is a damping coefficient.Next, a slice circuit picks out signals having a higher level than the maximum level of the noise element, from the signal Y.sub.ap1 generated as mentioned above and another slice circuit picks out signals having a lower level than the minimum level of the noise element, from the signal Y.sub.ap2. An adder adds up these picked-out signals to be used as the noise free contour correction signal.

  • Patent number: 5293225
Abstract: A color camera apparatus comprises an image pickup element having a stripe/mosaic type color filter and photo-electrically converting an arriving optical image so as to obtain at least a signal including a brightness component and a color component multiplexed with each other. And, the apparatus comprises an A/D converter for digitizing above multiplexed signal, and a brightness signal processing circuit which separates the brightness component from the multiplexed signal and carries out an aperture correction by means of a delay element having a delay amount corresponding to two horizontal scanning period. And further, the apparatus comprises a color signal processing circuit which separates the color component from the multiplexed signal so as to obtain two line-sequential color difference components through a predetermined arithmetic procedure.
