    Abstract: A distribution device for transmission packets is provided which distributes, by multicast or unicast, content stream data to a terminal via a communication path. The content stream data comprises closed GOPs that include at least video data and audio data, and is configured hierarchically using a first multiplexed packet stream and a second multiplexed packet stream. The first multiplexed packet stream is configured such that a group of N?1 closed GOPs in order from a head is in turn M?-multiplexed into a plurality of GOP groups in terms of a GOP. The second multiplexed packet stream is configured such that a group of N?2 closed GOPs in order from a head is in turn M?-multiplexed into a plurality of GOP groups in terms of a closed GOP. The first multiplexed packet stream and the second multiplexed packet stream are distributed by multicast or unicast with a certain time difference.

The player apparatus comprises a detector unit 16 for detecting a transmission speed through the communication line, a selector unit 17 for selecting a stream file with a data amount depending on the transmission speed from the plurality of stream files with different data amounts, a stream file memory unit 14 for downloading and temporally memorizing the selected stream file, and a volume adjuster unit 15 for adding a padding data such that the data amount of the stream file becomes equal to a data amount specified in the management file when the data amount of the stream file is different from the data amount specified in the management file.

    Abstract: A driving apparatus according to the invention turns on a capacitive light emitting device having a first electrode and a second electrode in accordance with a light-on instruction. The apparatus has: a voltage accumulating unit, for example, a capacitor for holding a voltage energy corresponding to the contents of the light-on instruction; a circuit for applying the voltage energy held in the voltage accumulating unit to a portion across electrodes (A and B) in one direction in response to a first control signal and for applying the voltage energy held in the voltage accumulating unit to the portion across the electrodes in the other direction in response to a second control signal; and a circuit for alternately generating the first and second control signals. The invention can cope with a deterioration due to an aging change or the like, prevent a reduction of a light emission intensity due to the deterioration or the like, and contribute to a simplification of the construction and a decrease in costs.

    Abstract: A failure diagnosis device of an EGR control device provided with an exhaust gas recirculating passage for recirculating exhaust gas of an engine to an intake side of the engine and a recirculating valve for controlling to open and close the exhaust gas recirculating passage, which controls to open and close the recirculating valve comprising: a running condition detecting means for detecting a running condition of the engine; a failure diagnosis means for performing a failure diagnosis of the EGR control device by determining whether a difference between the first running condition when the recirculating valve is open and the second running condition when the recirculating valve is closed, is a predetermined value or more; and an ignition timing controlling means for performing an ignition timing controlling in accordance with a change of the running condition when the recirculating valve is switched from an open state to a closed state and from the closed state to the open state.
