Abstract: An image forming method which examines validity of an output object using an ROP, for example, and determines whether the output object is printed in a color mode or in a mono mode, is provided. The method includes detecting an output object having a color value from among output objects constituting a mono page, examining the validity of the detected output object, and outputting the detected output object as a mono object if the output object is determined not to be valid. Accordingly, if a mono image having an RGB value is recognized as a color object but is data not to be output on paper or media, the image is recognized as data which are not necessary to be output using color toner, so that only black toner is used. Accordingly, the printing rate increases, and efficiency of processing a printing is enhanced.

Abstract: An image forming device and a controlling method thereof, in which the image forming device includes: a customer replaceable unit memory (CRUM) associated with a recording material storage medium to store a color conversion table group including a color conversion table that corresponds to status information of the image forming device, and a controller to determine current status information of the image forming device, to read a target color conversion table from among the color conversion table group according to the determined current status information, and to apply the target color conversion table to perform a printing operation on a document. Therefore, an optimum print quality can be guaranteed according to the determined current status of the image forming device.

The apparatus includes an application program unit for creating a printing-object document in a certain size, and a printer driver unit for modifying the size of the created document to a clone size by transferring the clone size to the application program unit when the clone size is determined, and creating print data by applying the clone printing option to the modified document. Accordingly, margins occurring on the sheets of printed paper are minimized without having image distortion, and an image can be clone printed in the size that a user desires.
