  • Publication number: 20030178794
Abstract: A chuck device includes a socket, a ball, a first ring, an elastic element, a sleeve, a second ring and a spindle. The socket includes a first chamber defined therein. The first chamber includes a number of slots for receiving the corners. The socket includes a hole defined therein in communication with one of the corner-receiving slots. The ball is received in the hole for engagement with the recess defined in one of the corners of the miniature tool bit. The first ring is formed around the socket. The elastic element is mounted on the socket so as to be compressed between the ring and the annular rib, thus biasing the sleeve. The sleeve includes an annular groove defined in and an annular rib formed on an internal surface thereof. The sleeve is mounted on the socket. The second ring is connected with the sleeve for engagement with the first ring, thus retaining the sleeve on the socket. The spindle is connected with the socket.

  • Patent number: 6536130
Abstract: An overlay mark for concurrently monitoring alignment accuracy, focus, leveling and astigmatism and a method of application thereof are disclosed. The overlay mark comprises four inner bars and four outer bars formed at the corners of exposure areas. The inner bar has a sawtooth area and a bar-shaped area, and the outer bar is a fore-layer etched pattern. Both the inner bars and the outer bars are formed into rectangles, and each bar is one side of a rectangle and none of the sides are connected. The sawtooth areas of the inner bars disposed on opposite sides are located at a same position. The rectangle formed by the outer bars encloses the rectangle formed by the inner bars. During the monitoring process, a testing beam scans across a scan area being divided into two areas, i.e., one being the outer bars and the sawtooth area of the inner bars, and the other one being the outer bars and the bar-shaped area of the inner bars.

  • Patent number: 6446341
Abstract: A tool holder and tools combination includes a base with a head formed on an end thereof. A fixing seat is pivotally mounted to the head and a blade is forcibly inserted into an engaging groove of the fixing seat. A catch is provided to engage with ratchet teeth of the fixing seat to thereby prevent inadvertent folding of the blade. The catch can be retained in a position allowing free pivotal movement of the blade relative to the base.

  • Patent number: 6325393
Abstract: A chuck device for a tool of the type having a bit on an end thereof and a drill on the other end thereof includes a spindle with a stub formed on an end thereof, a tube including a first section mounted around the stub of the spindle and a second section, a sliding sleeve slidably mounted around the tube, and a ball partially received in a transverse countersink in the second section of the tube. A first elastic member is mounted around the tube and attached between an outer shoulder of the tube and an inner shoulder of the sliding sleeve. A second elastic member includes a first end received in the stub and a second end in the tube. When the chuck device is in a condition not receiving the tool, the ball is moved out of the longitudinal hole of the tube and partially located in the annular groove of the sliding sleeve under the action of the second elastic member, and the first elastic member is in a compressed status.
