Abstract: A removable protective coating for a photoreceptor that includes a colorant of a preselected color and a lubricant for providing initial lubrication to the photoreceptor and cleaning system blade or brush. The coating also includes a binding agent that is configured to attach the colorant and the lubricant together. The removable protective coating further includes a solution mixed with the colorant, the lubricant, and the binding agent, the mixed solution being applied to an exterior surface of the photoreceptor drying to form the removable protective coating. The removable protective coating is removed by the cleaning system during startup, providing lubrication to the cleaning system and the photoreceptor.

Abstract: An anticurl backing layer dispersion, including: a volatile carrier liquid, solid organic or inorganic particles, and a surfactant, wherein the dispersion does not include a binder. An anitcurl backing layer composition including the above-described dispersion, a binder solution comprising a binder and a volatile carrier liquid, and optionally a resin, is also disclosed.

The diptank forms a coating solution overflow return that flows to the reservoir by means of a conduit and a self-adjusting return line. The self-adjusting return line comprises a plastic tubing with an upper portion, a central portion and a lower portion. The upper portion is coupled to the conduit. The tubing central portion is flexible and corrugated and arranged to extend and compress in its length. The lower portion is supported by an attached buoy that floats on the surface of the reservoir. The lower portion defines an outlet that discharges the coating solution overflow return to the reservoir. As a result, the coating solution overflow return is discharged to the reservoir at a fixed vertical distance or level with respect to the surface of the reservoir.
