  • Patent number: 6845537
Abstract: The present invention discloses the present invention discloses a power toothbrush that includes a body portion 105. An elongated level arm 102 extends from one end of the body portion to a toothbrush head 101 disposed at a distal end of the toothbrush. The toothbrush head includes a plurality of brush bristles. The elongated lever arm 102 is mounted on a vibrating pivot 104 driven by rotational DC motor engaging and pushing a set of permanent magnets attached to a two-arm fork rotating along the lever arm 102. In a preferred embodiment, the DC motor drives a three-leg permanent magnets each disposed at a 120-degree phase from each other for driving the two-arm fork for generating a vibration that three-times the frequency of the DC motor's rotational frequency.

  • Publication number: 20020095734
Abstract: The present invention discloses the present invention discloses a toothbrush head for engaging to an automatic toothbrush base having a motor shaft for actuating a vibration. The toothbrush head includes a tubular adapter for adapting the vibrating motor shaft the tubular adapter further engaging and transferring the vibration to a swing rod. The toothbrush head further includes an off center pin engaged to the swing rod. The toothbrush head further includes a pair of parallel pins for disposing the off center pin therein and the pair of parallel pins are fixed onto a bristle plate whereby the off center pin is moved along the pair of parallel pin for generating a corresponding vibration on the bristle plate.

  • Patent number: 6105167
Abstract: A buoyancy aid wearable as a swimming cap in its uninflated condition and usable as a buoyancy aid in an inflated condition including a cap defining means configurable in its to be worn condition preferably to have one part thereof within another part thereof, the cap defining means including at least one inflatable chamber. An inflation unit is preferably carried by the cap defining means and is actuable to inflate the inflatable chamber(s). The outcome upon actuation of the inflation unit will be or is, should the inflated condition be achieved, that the inflatable chamber(s) configures (configure) the cap defining means to a form no longer wearable as a cap and with the one part no longer within the another part. The cap defining means when in its fully inflated form preferably has a configuration that is substantially that of an unshelled peanut therefor, with a waisted region. The inflation unit preferably uses a gas reservoir capable of releasing gas under pressure.

  • Patent number: 5963708
Abstract: A heating system for baseboard location has a chamber partly filled with liquid and sealed for holding a vacuum. A heater in the chamber heats the liquid into vapor to heat the chamber. First and second heat exchange plates extend annularly and substantially horizontally about the chamber with inner peripheries in heat-conducting contact with the chamber. The first heat exchange plate has at least one airflow hole therethrough on one side of the chamber and the second heat exchange plate has at least one air-flow hole therethrough on another side of the chamber. A space between the first and the second heat exchange plates is enclosed at the outer peripheries of the plates.
