  • Patent number: 10601175
Abstract: A connector with a lock mechanism includes a connector 10 and a counterpart connector 20. A connector main body 11 of the connector 10 has an annular groove 113. An inner sleeve 17 and an outer sleeve are arranged movably in an axial direction on an outer circumferential surface of the connector main body 11 and outside the inner sleeve 17, respectively. The outer sleeve 13 has a locking pin 15 projecting from an inner circumferential surface close to a front end of the outer sleeve 13. A ball accommodation hole 22, an inlet groove 26, and a circumferential direction groove 28 are formed in a tubular member 21 of the counterpart connector 20. When the connector main body 11 is inserted into the tubular member 21, an engaging ball 23 accommodated in the ball accommodation hole 22 becomes engaged with the annular groove 113 and the locking pin 15 becomes engaged with the inlet groove 26, allowing the connectors to be connected with each other.

  • Patent number: 8764473
Abstract: Provided is a ball-lock connector wherein a connector which has a relatively small diameter and which can be smoothly attached or detached, is realized at low cost. Ball storage holes (23) are formed in a tubular member (20), and engagement balls (11) are contained in the ball storage holes (23). An inner sleeve (30) and an outer sleeve (40) are disposed on the outside of the tubular member (20) so as to move in the axial direction. When a counterpart connector (70) is attached, each engagement ball (11) moves from a first position wherein a part of the engagement ball is projected from the inner peripheral surface (21) of the tubular member (20) to a second position which is close to a first inner peripheral surface (42) of an outer sleeve (40), wherein a part of the engagement ball is not projected from the inner peripheral surface (21), and thereafter, returns to the first position.

  • Patent number: 7357659
Abstract: A coil spring 213 is sandwiched between a coil spring adjoining wall 202a of the female plug shell 202 and the edge of the large ring of the slide sleeve 203 and is held inside of the slide cover 215 in which the coil spring 213 can expand and contract freely. Sliding of the slide cover 215 in the positive direction of the x axis is restricted because the coil spring 213 or the slide sleeve 203 is adjacent to the coil spring adjoining wall 202a, and sliding in the negative direction of the x axis is restricted by a caulking 210. The caulking 210 caulks its bottom part, or the end part 215b which is placed at the opposite side of the opening part of the slide cover 215, to inside of the female plug 200. By applying this calking 210, problems described above can be solved.

  • Patent number: 7241055
Abstract: A screwing part 1220 is inserted into a large through-hole 1110 from its front side and is screwed together with a male screw part of a jig. A convex part 1230 in an approximately ring shape is formed at a back end part of the screwing part 1220. The convex part 1230 is adjacent to a fitting part 1111 which is made of an approximately ring convex part projecting toward inside of the large through-hole 1110. The back of the fitting part 1111 is adjacent to a front end opening part 1310 of a back tubular part 1300. In short, the fitting part 1111 of the adaptor main body 1110 is sandwiched between the convex part 1230 and the front end opening part 1310. By inserting and pressing the back end opening part 1210 of the front tubular part 1200 into the front end opening part 1310 of the back tubular part 1300, the front tubular part 1200 and the back tubular part 1300 are connected and fixed with each other. Sign ? represents their pressing part.

  • Patent number: 7232260
Abstract: A ferrule holder and a coil spring are provided in a main body formed in an approximately tube shape. A cable adaptor including a front opening part at a large diameter part is inserted from a back opening part into the main body having slits and. A first small diameter part of the main body fits with the large diameter part of the cable adaptor and prevents the cable adaptor from translating in the z-axis direction. And the second small diameter part of the main body controls transfer of the ferrule holder in the z-axis direction. At the forward part of the large diameter, a taper part which helps to insert the cable adaptor is formed around the circuit of the optical axis. Each slit formed at the back opening part also helps to insert the cable adaptor.

  • Publication number: 20050232552
Abstract: A ferrule holder 110 and a coil spring 120 are comprised in a main body 130 formed in an approximately tube shape. A cable adaptor 140 comprising a front opening part 142 at a large diameter part 141 is inserted from a back opening part 133 into the main body 130 having slits S2 and S3. A first small diameter part 131 of the main body 130 fits with the large diameter part 141 of the cable adaptor 140 and prevents the cable adaptor 140 from translating in the z-axis direction. And the second small diameter part 132 of the main body 130 controls transfer of the ferrule holder 110 in the z-axis direction. At the forward part of the large diameter 141, a taper part which helps to insert the cable adaptor 140 is formed around the circuit of the optical axis.
