  • Publication number: 20020061755
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system for displaying a map in a display unit of a mobile terminal device such that the relationship between a moving direction of the mobile terminal device and a direction of the displayed map is easily understandable. When the system detects that the mobile terminal device exists in a particular region on a path, it sends map data of the region to the mobile terminal device. The mobile terminal device receives the map data and displays a map of the region such that the moving direction of the portable terminal device is aligned with a top of the map displayed in the display unit.

  • Publication number: 20020049063
Abstract: A mobile communication system including a plurality of base stations arranged in a communication area each for emitting a radio wave inherent thereto and a mobile station moving in the communication area and communicating with respectives of the base stations via the transmitted radio waves. There is previously stored a location correlation data group including correlation data representing correlation situations of a plurality of arriving radio waves produced by the transmitted radio waves at respectives ones of a plurality of sampling locations within the communication area as location correlation data in correspondence with the respective locations. Upon reception of the arriving radio waves at a current location of the mobile station, there is calculated current correlation data representing correlation situations among the received arriving radio waves for the respective mobile station.

  • Publication number: 20020034954
Abstract: An information distribution system having an information distributing apparatus of a communication provider for distributing information to mobile terminal apparatuses, wherein the information distributing apparatus searches information from a database storage device in accordance with desired conditions of the user of the mobile terminal apparatus and transmits information indicative of a search result by a radio signal, and the mobile terminal apparatus receives the radio signal and notifies the information indicative of the search result.

  • Publication number: 20010036220
Abstract: A receiving device is provided with a DLL circuit of a reduced scale. An inverse spreading processing to ensure the synchronism with a received signal and a processing to inversely spread original data in the received signal are performed by a time-sharing operation using one inverse spreading circuit and one integrator. During a period in which synchronous data for detecting a slot duration included in the received signal is received, the synchronous data is alternately inversely spread by an early code and a late code and sample-hold circuits alternately sample and hold the integrated output. Further, based on the difference (error signal) between sample-hold signals, the early code, the late code and a reference code outputted from a code sequence generator are synchronized with the received signal.

  • Publication number: 20010029456
Abstract: When the quick traverse play back command (or, quick returning play back command) of the audio information by the compression audio information is given to the play back apparatus, by the control of the control section, the special audio according to the temporarily stored data stored in the first storage means is repeatedly played back, instead of the play back of the audio by the ordinary play back operation.

  • Patent number: 5426704
Abstract: A noise reducing apparatus which is particularly effective to reduce periodic noise with the construction simplified very much is disclosed. The noise reducing apparatus comprises a microphone, an adaptive filter for generating a signal to reduce noise inputted to the microphone, transfer characteristic compensation means for generating a signal to compensate for a transfer characteristic when the signal generated from the adaptive filter comes the microphone, a synchronizing pulse generation circuit for generating a pulse signal synchronized with the period of the noise, a pulse interval detection circuit for detecting the interval between pulses of the pulse signal, tap number changeover means for changing over the number of taps of the adaptive filter to a number with which the delay amount of a tapped delay line of the adaptive filter is equal to the interval detected by the pulse interval detection circuit, and a loudspeaker for generating sounds in response to the signal from the adaptive filter.
