  • Patent number: 7336903
Abstract: There is disclosed an optical wireless transmission apparatus in which a pilot light emitting section of a receiving/emitting section sends a pilot light in a wavelength region of 930 nm to 960 nm to a target apparatus, and a light receiving device having a light receiving sensitivity only to the same wavelength region of 930 nm to 960 nm receives light sent from the target apparatus. When the pilot light in the wavelength region of 930 nm to 960 nm is used, the pilot light is not obstructed by sunlight, and therefore optical axis adjustment can be mutually and exactly performed by the use of the pilot light sent from the target apparatus.

  • Patent number: 6527173
Abstract: The CGH (computer generated hologram) readout section (4) reproduces an image of the CGH (28), which is formed in the data storage area (52) of the crude card (26). The CGH certifying section (5) judges whether the card is genuine or fake and obtains an ID (identification) information. In a case that the card is genuine, the ID information is supplied to the data processing section (6). The data processing section (6) inputs a personal information of a person to be a cardholder and also inputs a face picture of the person. These data are registered in the database (2) in response to the ID information. A part of or all of the personal information is outputted to the IC reader/writer (8) and written into the IC module (53). Further, a part of the personal information and the face picture are outputted to the color printer (7) as a printing information and printed on the surface of the crude card (26).

  • Patent number: 5926302
Abstract: A bi-directional optical wireless communication apparatus comprises a modulator outputting a narrow band signal whose center frequency is selected from N center frequencies, an optical transmitter transmitting an optical signal from the narrow band signal, an optical receiver for receiving N optical signals, N receiving circuits corresponding to the N center frequencies, a cancelling circuit for cancelling the optical signal received by the optical receiver via reflective object in received N optical signals using the narrow band signal in accordance with a magnitude of the optical signal received by the optical receiver, a frequency discriminator discriminating frequencies of the received N optical signals, and a control circuit. The frequency discriminator discriminates for an interval that the optical transmitter does not transmit the optical signal.

  • Patent number: 5532858
Abstract: An optical radio communication system comprising a first light transmitting system and a second light transmitting system. Each of said first and second light transmitting system comprising a transmitting means and a receiving means. Said transmitting means comprising a light emitting element positioned in a region including and surrounding a focal point of a first parabolic reflector for emitting light beams, said first parabolic reflector having an inner reflective surface for reflecting said light beams emitted from said light emitting element, and a means for driving said light emitting element with a signal to be transmitted.
