  • Publication number: 20220397758
Abstract: A head-mounted display (HMD) having a line-of-sight detection function includes angle selection type transmission elements that are disposed in a finder optical path for eyes of a user, respectively, a light projecting unit and a light receiving unit for line-of-sight detection, and is configured to be capable of adjusting a direction of a finder to a detected line-of-sight direction. The angle selection type transmission elements have first to third opening portions with different directions. The first and second opening portions limit a passage direction of light in first and second regions in a finder optical path, respectively. The third opening portion is formed around a line connecting an eye point and the light receiving unit.

  • Patent number: 8857953
Abstract: A liquid ejection head includes a piezoelectric block body having a plurality of pressure chambers arranged two-dimensionally to face respective ejection ports, a plurality of air chambers arranged adjacently relative to the plurality of pressure chambers, and a plurality of flow channels arranged along the pressure chambers. The pressure chambers are deformed by expansion and contraction of piezoelectric members disposed between the pressure chambers and the air chambers so as to drive the liquid stored therein to flow toward the ejection ports. A connection flow channel is provided at the ejection port side of the piezoelectric block body so as to make each of the pressure chambers communicate with at least one of the flow channels for partial recirculation of the ink.

  • Patent number: 8443985
Abstract: A deposition of bubbles or foams to an inner wall of a liquid supplying member is prevented, thereby improving ejecting performance of the bubbles or foams. In the liquid supplying member which forms a flow path for supplying a liquid to a liquid discharging apparatus, the inner wall surface has a concave/convex shape in which a mountain portion and a valley portion are repeated at a predetermined spatial frequency. Assuming that an opening diameter of a filter provided for the liquid discharging apparatus is equal to R (?m), one period f (?m)of the spatial frequency lies within a range from R or more to ?{square root over (2)}·R or less and a maximum height Ry (?m) of the mountain portion is equal to ?{square root over (2)}·R/2 or more.

  • Patent number: 8382231
Abstract: A print head having high printing reliability, in which temperature unevenness is suppressed even when printing is performed using a print head having an increased length and density of an ejection opening array, can be provided. Specifically, a temperature equalizing member such as a heat pipe and a cooling liquid passage is disposed between a first support substrate and each of second support substrates or is disposed inside the first support substrate. This makes it possible to equalize temperature among the plurality of second support substrates and further equalize temperature among the printing element substrates bonded to these support substrates. In addition, the temperature equalizing member is made close to the printing element substrate, thus making it possible to efficiently equalize temperature.
