    Abstract: The present invention is generally related to an oral disinfectant for companion animals. A preferred disinfectant is a concentrated composition containing a fatty acid monoester, one or more fatty acids, an acid or chelating agent, a polyalcohol, a surfactant and water. When used the concentrate is diluted with water and then applied to the teeth and oral cavity tissues of the animal.
