Abstract: An LED light source can include a radiating substrate, a sub mount substrate, at least one white LED and a side wall. The sub mount substrate can be mounted on the radiating substrate, and the at least one white LED can be mounted on the sub mount substrate. The side wall can be mounted on the radiating substrate so as to face the at least one white LED. The side wall can be configured with a black mat material and, therefore, can absorb an upward light that may give a glaring type light to an oncoming car and the like. The number of the white LED and a shape of the side wall can be selected in accordance with a particular type of vehicle to match various headlights. Thus, a vehicle headlight using the LED light source can provide a favorable light distribution without the glaring type light for various vehicles.
