Abstract: Provided are a system and method for generating a service broker code for a service deployed on a cloud platform. In one example, the method includes generating service broker code for the service in which the generated service broker code includes built-in code that supports a plurality of operations of the service broker built and one or more gaps in the code corresponding to one or more operations of the service broker not supported by the built-in code thereby enabling customization of the service broker. The method further includes transmitting the generated service broker code to a user device associated with the service for filling in code for the one or more operations. Because gaps are left in the generated service broker code, the service broker can be customized by a developer of the service while incorporating already built-in code that has been tested and verified.
