Abstract: Diagnostic chip devices, and methods and devices for assembly and manufacture, are described. Such chip device includes a chip carrier device that includes a frame having a fluidic interface, one or more fluidic channels and a gasket that forms a flowcell sealed against an active surface of a diagnostic chip. The gasket can be overmolded into the frame, or can be separately applied and compressed by the chip, which can be secured to the frame by cold swaging, hot swaging or heat staking, adhesive or any suitable means. The chip carrier device can further include a window over the flowcell to allow for optical detection of the active face of the chip. The window can be formed by a transparent lid or glass insert attached to the frame by laser welding, overmolding, adhesive or any suitable means. The carrier and lid can also be formed as a single integral component.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for use in notifying consumer of benefits associated with payment accounts, in connection with payment account transactions. One exemplary method includes initially identifying, at a computing device, a transaction to a payment account where the transaction involves a merchant. The method also includes accessing, by the computing device, a benefit data structure for the payment account and determining, by the computing device, whether a relevant benefit is included in the benefit data structure for the payment account. The method then includes transmitting, by the computing device, a notification to the consumer regarding the relevant benefit, in connection with the identified transaction, whereby the consumer is permitted to avoid purchasing a benefit product from the merchant, which is at least partially duplicative of the relevant benefit.

Abstract: Technologies manage video-on-demand (VoD) for a set of video files stored in a hierarchical network comprising a plurality of nodes, one or more of the plurality of nodes being user nodes, the user nodes connected to one or more of the plurality of parent nodes, and one or more of the plurality of parent nodes storing a video file previously requested by a user node, the method comprising, for a user node, periodically ranking a video file from the set of video files wherein the ranking is based on separation between a parent node in the network storing the video file and the user node, and interest of the user node for the video file; and on receiving a request for the VoD, providing a list of the set of video files and recommending one or more video files having a predefined ranking.
