  • Patent number: 8946657
Abstract: The present embodiments relate to a beam head including a vacuum housing, in which an electron source is arranged. The beam head also includes a beam finger that is connected to the vacuum housing and has an outlet window at a distal end. The beam head includes a transformer housing, in which a transformer connected to the electron source is arranged. The transformer housing is arranged directly on the vacuum housing.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 8, 2010
Date of Patent: February 3, 2015
    Assignee: Siemens Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Manfred Apel, Clemens Fiebiger, Wolfgang Hennig, Roland Schmidt, Björn Österreicher

  • Patent number: 7116757
Abstract: An x-ray tube has an anode plate connected to an anode tube that is mounted such that it can rotate around a rigid anode shaft. To improve the heat dissipation from the anode plate, a liquid for dissipation of heat to the anode shaft is accommodated in an intervening space formed between the anode shaft and the anode plate.

  • Patent number: 6907110
Abstract: An x-ray tube has a stationary vacuum housing, in which are arranged an electron-emitting cathode and a ring anode with an impact surface on which the electron beam, accelerated by an electrical field, is incident, as well as a deflection system to focus and deflect the electron beam. The ray exit window of the x-ray tube is round, lies in the plane perpendicular to the central axis of the x-ray tube, and terminates one side at the vacuum housing. The impact surface of the ring anode is beveled and is aligned to the ray exit window. A diaphragm is provided in front of the ray exit window that defines a circular opening for the x-ray radiation. The ring anode is surrounded by an annular anode cooling arrangement.
