    Abstract: An electric cable shield contacting device for an electric plug connector, and to an electric plug connector having such a cable shield contacting device, wherein the plug connector has an at least partly hollow cylindrical housing having a contact carrier accommodated therein, and having an end cap that can be screwed onto the latter. The cable shield contacting device has a clamping sleeve and a clamping basket, which are correspondingly hollow-cylindrical and engage partly over each other in order to clamp the shield braid between themselves, having a circumferential stowage space for projecting shield braid in the overlap area. The inner circumferential surface of the clamping basket has multiple projecting shield braid driving elements arranged in the form of a circular ring, which engage in a circumferential annular groove on the outer circumferential surface of the clamping sleeve and thus latch clamping basket and clamping sleeve rotatably in each other.

According to the invention, the insulating body is releasable from the plug side of the housing section by a tool and the locking device and the receiving recess are realized separately in the circumferential direction of the housing section and have at least two locking parts that are separated from one another and a corresponding number of locking part receptacles which are at a distance to one another laterally.

The plug side end of the shielding sleeve includes an even number of axially extending sleeve segments which are separated by longitudinal slots which are advantageously configured as sleeve segments that are short in axial direction and sleeve segments that are long in axial direction. Sleeve segments which are arranged in sequence advantageously have a uniform radial offset relative to each other in an alternating direction, wherein the sleeve segments of two identically configured shielding sleeves are insertable into one another with a rotational offset in circumferential direction of 360° divided by a number of the sleeve segments.
