  • Patent number: 6123448
Abstract: An agitator includes a drive motor having a shaft projecting through an axial end of a housing and having connected thereto a propeller boss. The propeller boss and housing define a circumferential gap spanned by a circumferentially extending radially outermost gap covering and sealing portion of a deflector ring. The deflector ring includes a radially innermost ring mounting portion located in the circumferential gap. The deflector ring is preferably made of elastomeric material and an outermost circumferential surface of the deflector ring is exteriorly convexly curved in the form of an aerofoil converging axially toward ends of sealing lips of the deflector ring gap covering and sealing portion.

  • Patent number: 4867585
Abstract: A ribbon cassette for writing and/or printing machines, the ribbon cassette including a casing with an upper part, a lower part as well as two ribbon-guide arms extending substantially parallel to one another away from the casing, an ink ribbon, a feed spool, a take-up spool as well as a drive member controllable by the machine for the onward transport of the ink ribbon, in which the ribbon has a ribbon section running freely between the two ribbon-guide arms outside the casing, and in which the ribbon-guide arms are borne on the casing in such a way that the ink ribbon, for the selection of one of several writing tracks, is movable against the force of restoring springs perpendicular to the band longitudinal axis in the ribbon plane of the ribbon section. The ribbon-guide arms are tied over film hinges in one piece to the casing.

  • Patent number: 4729677
Abstract: Typing ribbon cartridge for typewriting and/or printing machines in which a typing ribbon (2) has a section that runs freely outside the cartridge housing between two housing side-arms (4). To select one of several typing tracks this section is moved perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis of the ribbon section in such a way that equalization of the differing tensions of the ribbon edges in the various positions of the free section of the ribbon is obtained. For this purpose guide elements (9) are provided, which are mounted on guide edges of the side-arms (4), which are arranged perpendicular to the longitudinal axis throughout their entire length and in the ribbon plane, and the guide elements are tiltable about axes (15), which are arranged perpendicular to the plane of the free section of the ribbon and which intersect the guide edges.
