  • Patent number: 4861265
Abstract: The invention relates to apparatus and to a method for the heat treatment of fine-grained material using a multi-stage cyclone preheater and a combustion chamber supplied with tertiary air from the cooler, in which the branched part of the tertiary air pipe extends upwards and the material discharged from the second-lowest stage of the cyclone preheater is introduced into one branch pipe at a point which lies lower than the point at which this branch pipe is connected to the combustion chamber. In this way good dispersal of the material which is delivered pneumatically to the combusion chamber and excellent combustion conditions are achieved at the same time as a considerable reduction in the overall height of the entire cyclone preheater.

  • Patent number: 4828844
Abstract: A pulmonary surfactant for the treatment of dyspnea syndromes, containing dipalmitoyl phosphatidyl choline (DPPC) and dipalmitoyl phosphatidyl glycerol (DPPG) in a ratio of from 9:1 to 8:2 and a sugar, in the form of a redispersable powder, which is obtained by dissolving the phospholipids in glacial acetic acid, adding the sugar, and finally freeze-drying of the mixture. • Patent number: 4808108
Abstract: The heat treatment of fine-grained material wherein two quantities of fuel are delivered to a precalcination zone at two different levels. The first quantity of fuel is delivered at a lower level nearer the combustion zone and the oxygen content of the gases passing through this region of the precalcination zone are such that in this region a substoichiometric combustion takes place and a CO content between 0.05% and 1% is established. As a result a reducing decomposition of the NO.sub.x content of the exhaust gases from the combustion zone takes place.

  • Patent number: 4732561
Abstract: In apparatus for cooling hot material, a material transfer stage is provided in the material inlet of a cooler and acted on by cooling air. The transfer stage has a plurality of air-permeable carrier elements spanning the breadth of the inlet. At least one group of the carrier elements is arranged with a downward and forward inclination of approximately 10.degree. to 20.degree. in the direction of material transport. The carrier elements have forwardly facing sides provided with openings through which cooling air may pass.

  • Patent number: 4720262
Abstract: Apparatus for the heat treatment of fine material comprises a multi-stage cyclone preheater, a rotary kiln and a calciner supplied with tertiary air from a cooler for precalcination of the preheated fine material. The tertiary air pipe is narrowed at the point where it joins into the calciner. In this way an intensification of the mixing together of material, fuel and gas is achieved as well as an improved combustion, particularly fuels which are slow to react.

  • Patent number: 4687766
Abstract: Pharmaceutical preparation containing phospholipids for the therapeutic treatment of rheumatic diseases which contain in addition to the antiphlogistically acting oxicam derivatives of the general formula ##STR1## special 1,2-diacyl-glycero-3-phosphocholines wherein 75-86% by weight of the acyl radicals are unsaturated fatty acid radicals, and the preparation thereof.

  • Patent number: 4684632
Abstract: Pharmaceutical formulations for the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders, which contain as the active component an effective gastrointestinal disorder alleviating amount of a 1,2-diacylglycero-3-phosphocholine in which 75-86% by weight of the acyl radicals are unsaturated fatty acid radicals having a chain length of 16, 18 or 20 carbon atoms. The mixtures of fatty acid radicals in the acyl groups in the 1- and 2-positions preferably have different compositions. The formulations can also contain other active compounds, in particular those which display injurious gastrointestinal side effects.

  • Patent number: 4592724
Abstract: A grate cooler arranged at right angles to a rotary kiln and having its vertical longitudinal central plane spaced a distance between 10 and 150 cm from the discharge end of the rotary kiln. The zone of the grate cooler lying below the material discharge end of the rotary kiln has more stationary grating plates and more unventilated grating plates per unit area than the laterally adjacent zones of the material receiving end and in the remaining region of the cooler. This results in good protection of the grating plates at the material receiving end and an even distribution of the material over the whole width of the cooler by means of a distribution cone which is kept in motion.

  • Patent number: 4300879
Abstract: A process for the heat-treatment of fine-grained material which is preheated in a cyclone preheater, deacidified by additional fuel in a precalcination zone, and subsequently calcined to completion in a revolving tubular kiln. The gas temperature in the cyclone preheater and the material temperature after passage through the precalcination zone are measured, the difference between these temperatures is determined and, when the temperature difference reaches a maximum or minimum value, regulation of the fuel supply to the precalcination zone is switched to manual operation. In this way, the amount of fuel is rapidly adapted to the particular circumstances prevailing in the event of disturbances.
