    Abstract: The invention relates to a piece of jewelry, the body (2) of which has an opening (4) in which a decorative element (5), more particularly a precious stone or gemstone, is inserted, wherein a support (7) for the decorative element (5) is formed in the opening (4) of the body (2) of the piece of jewelry (1) that receives the decorative element (5), said support defining the insertion depth of the decorative element (5) in the opening (4) of the body (2) of the piece of jewelry (1) and supporting a lower edge (5?) of the decorative element (5) at least in certain spots.
