Patent number: 7621406Abstract: A conversion kit for interconnecting particulate screening panels to a support frame includes a plurality of panels, an interface and a connecting pin. A method of using the conversion kit includes the steps of providing at least two of the screening panels each defining at least one locating recess; providing an interface having at least one skirt depending therefrom and a bore therethrough; providing at least one pin defining a head and an opposing extension; attaching the head in the locating recesses to connect the screening panels together; inserting the skirt in an aperture of a support frame; and inserting the opposing extension in the bore of the skirt to attach the screening panels to the support frame for screening particulates.Type: GrantFiled: December 2, 2005Date of Patent: November 24, 2009Assignee: Polydeck Screen CorporationInventors: Manfred F. A. Freissle, Peter H. F. Freissle

Patent number: 5464101Abstract: The invention provides for a screen support frame component, and for a screen support frame including such a component, in which the component comprises an elongate bar having at least one tubular element affixed thereto. The tubular element defines a socket in which securing means for securing the panel is receivable.Type: GrantFiled: February 16, 1994Date of Patent: November 7, 1995Inventor: Manfred F. A. Freissle

Patent number: 5385242Abstract: The invention provides for a support member for a screen support frame for supporting thereon removable screening panels, the support member including securing formations which are removably inter-engageable with complementary securing formations on a screening panel. It further includes lugs extending transversely from the support member and including securing formations which are removably inter-engageable with complementary securing formations on a screening panel. The support member supports a screening panel along one peripheral side of the screening panel, and the lugs support the screening panel along a part of a transversely extending peripheral side of the screening panel.Type: GrantFiled: February 16, 1994Date of Patent: January 31, 1995Inventor: Manfred F. A. Freissle

Patent number: 5363970Abstract: The invention provides for a sieve bend panel of synthetic plastics material which has a screening surface and a plurality of sides and fasteners fast with and projecting from two of its sides. The fasteners are complementary to each other so that fasteners on similar panels placed adjacent to the panel can engage with the fasteners on the two sides to thereby locate the panels side-by-side and to fasten the panels to each other.Type: GrantFiled: August 25, 1993Date of Patent: November 15, 1994Inventor: Manfred F. A. Freissle
-
Patent number: 4892767Abstract: The invention provides for a screening element which is predominantly of a synthetic plastics material and which has a screening surface formed by a plurality of ribs extending within a surround across the element, the ribs each being of a zig-zag configuration and the ribs being spaced from each other to define between them screening apertures, the ribs being resiliently deformable.Type: GrantFiled: December 15, 1988Date of Patent: January 9, 1990Assignee: Screenex Wire Weaving Manufacturers (Proprietary) LimitedInventor: Manfred F. A. Freissle

Patent number: 4882044Abstract: The invention provides for a screening panel of a synthetic plastics material which has a screening surface and plug socket connections adapted to secure the panel releasably in a side-by-side relationship with similar panels. The panel includes a spacer element along one peripheral edge of the panel and extending in a direction transverse to the screening surface of the panel and being integral and unitary with the panel so that in side view the panel is substanitally L-shaped. The spacer element is adapted to space the screening surface of the panel from a second screening surface substantially parallel to the screening surface of the panel to thereby form a double screen deck supported on the same support frame.Type: GrantFiled: June 16, 1988Date of Patent: November 21, 1989Assignee: Polydeck Screen CorporationInventor: Manfred F. A. Freissle

Patent number: 4762610Abstract: There is provided a screening panel having screening apertures and which can be secured to a support frame side-by-side with similar panels to form a screen deck. The panel has ridges along two of its sides which project above the screening surface. The ridges form a channel which confines liquid flowing across the screen deck to flow across the screening apertures. Grooves extend through the ridges to direct liquid flowing across the screen deck directly into the screening apertures.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 1986Date of Patent: August 9, 1988Assignee: Screenex Wire Weaving Manufacturers (Proprietary) LimitedInventor: Manfred F. A. Freissle

Patent number: 4757664Abstract: The invention provides for a fastening arrangement for a screening or lining panel in which the fastening arrangement includes half-tubular protrusions along the periphery of the panel which can fit in pairs into corresponding apertures in a support frame. The bore of each half-tubular protrusion is blanked off so that when a pair of such protrusions are fitted in an aperture in a support frame, a blind bore is formed. The fastening means further includes a pin which can be inserted into the bore formed by a pair of protrusions fitted into an aperture. The pin when inserted into the bores of the protrusions spreads the ends of the protrusions and thereby fastens the panel to the support frame.Type: GrantFiled: May 15, 1987Date of Patent: July 19, 1988Assignee: Screenex Wire Weaving Manufacturers (Proprietary) LimitedInventor: Manfred F. A. Freissle

Patent number: 4716694Abstract: The invention provides for a wear resistant panel of a resiliently deformable material such as polyurethane having protrusions in the vicinity of the peripheral region of the panel by means of which the panel can be removably secured to a support structure, the panel being provided with at least one recess in the peripheral region of the panel into which recess a release tool can be forced to facilitate the removal of the panel from the support structure.Type: GrantFiled: November 24, 1986Date of Patent: January 5, 1988Assignee: Screenex Wire Weaving Manufactures (Proprietary) LimitedInventor: Manfred F. A. Freissle

Patent number: 4219161Abstract: The invention provides for a spray nozzle and spray nozzle mounting in which the spray nozzle is removable and includes a tubular spigot and a spray-forming part, the tubular spigot having a passage extending therethrough and having a configuration whereby the spigot can be removably clipped in spigot and socket fashion to a fluid supply line to permit fluid flow from the fluid line through the passage. The spray nozzle mounting comprises a projection fast with or attachable to a fluid suply line and having a passage extending therethrough, the projection having a configuration whereby the spray nozzle can be removably mounted by the tubular spigot being removably clipped to the projection in a spigot and socket fashion.Type: GrantFiled: February 28, 1978Date of Patent: August 26, 1980Assignee: Screenex Wire Weaving Manufacturers (Prop.)
