    Abstract: A tool for implanting fertilizer spikes in the ground with a rod slidably disposed in an open ended hollow tube which is adapted to be inserted into the ground to a predetermined depth. The fertilizer spike engages the end of the slidable rod, the hollow tube and spike are pushed into the ground and the spike is expelled from the tube by actuation of the rod when the tube is removed from the ground.
