  • Publication number: 20020048998
Abstract: The invention relates to an adapter for a connector in an aircraft power supply system that is designed to permit the supply of power onboard aircraft, comprising pins (16, 18, 20) that are positioned in the aircraft, especially extending outward from a base plate (22), onto which sockets of the adapter may be pushed. In order to enable the rapid replacement or repair in the case of damage to a pin, it is proposed that an exchangeable adapter (24) be positioned on and fastened to the pins (16, 18, 20) in the aircraft, and that the adapter be comprised of a receptacle base (38) with contact elements (26, 28, 36), which are designed, in the area nearest the pins, at one end as sleeves or sockets designed to take up the pins, and at the other end to extend beyond the receptacle base and correspond dimensionally to the pins.

  • Patent number: 6322398
Abstract: The invention relates to a plug connector (10, 106) of an aircraft power supply device for the on-board power supply of aircraft, which comprises a housing (12), whose front element (104) consists of an outer shell body (118) and of an insert (120), which is releasably arranged therein and has hollow-cylindrical receivers (122, 124, 126) for first contact elements.

  • Patent number: 6109957
Abstract: A device for taking-up or stowing a cable (16, 64) with several leads (36), including a take-up drum (18, 60) which rotates around an axle (30, 38) to take up the cable is disclosed. The leads of the cable are connected to a first connection device (38). This first connection device also provides an electrically conductive connection to the lines of a supply. In order to prevent the leads of the cable from breaking when the drum rotates, the first connection device should be connected to the drum and should have first electrical contacts (50, 56) located on circuits which run coaxially to the drum axle and are connected to the leads (36) of the cable. The electrical lines leading to the supply should be connected to a second connection device (48) which can be shifted axially along the drum axle and should have second electrical contacts (56, 50) which form an electrically conductive connection with the first electrical contacts (56, 50).

  • Patent number: 5358190
Abstract: A device (10) for stowing away a thick cable (14, 16) composed of several leads, in particular the supply cable of a central energy supply installation for the supply system on board of aircrafts, for example. The device has a rotary winding drum, around which several turns of the cable can be wound, connected in turn by a compensating cable (40) preferably to a fixed connection. The leads of the compensating cable, that lie free at least in sections, extend in the axial direction of the winding drum, so that the compensating cable is more strongly twisted when the connecting cable unwinds from the winding drum and less strongly twisted when the connecting cable is wound on the winding drum. The winding drum (24) itself has a hollow cylindrical bearing body (22) for winding up a single layer of cable (14, 16), within which extends the compensating cable (46). Preferably, the compensating cable (46) or some of its leads are held or fixed in an approximately central position within the bearing body (22).

  • Patent number: 5248215
Abstract: A road barricade can be swiveled upward from its open position parallel to the road surface, in which its U-shaped cross-section overarches the drive mechanism, about a shaft secured to the ground, into barricade position. To this end it has, on the side nearer the ground in the open position, a pair of guide curves, or a pair of rectilinear guide ramps along which a pair of feed rollers move, which are mounted on a threaded muff which slides on a drive spindle. This drive spindle is guided by running wheels on the base plate of the barrier and carries a protective tube which surrounds the spindle. In an approximately vertical position, the common shaft butt ends of the feed rollers and the running wheels engage in curved grooves in the barricade element; the barricade element is swivelled downward in a controlled manner under its own weight by the co-operation of the guide lines with the feed rollers.

  • Patent number: 5145040
Abstract: A cable winding device (16) for stowage of a supply cable (18) connecting for example a central aircraft supply system of an airport to a supply plug connection of an aircraft is proposed. The cable is unwound from or wound onto the cable winding device, which is preferably of the drum type, via a peripheral opening (40). The free end of the supply cable has a plug unit (22), preferably with control functions. To protect the cable, a guide element enclosing at least sections of the supply cable extends from the cable winding device, to which guide element is allocated a centering element extending from the plug unit and surrounding at least in sections the section (20) of the supply cable extending from the plug unit.

  • Patent number: 4775261
Abstract: A vehicle barrier device 10 for the temporary blocking of a roadway 12 comprises blocking elements 20, 22, 24, 25 with joined conter-elements 26, 28, 30, 31. The blocking elements 20, 22, 24, 25 are pivotable around axles extending parallel to the main direction of the roadway 12 and are arranged either in the main flush with the roadway 12 or can be swung out of it. The barrier elements 20, 22, 24, 25 are inserted exchangeably into a frame 132 which is set into a pit 128 present in the roadway 12.
