Patent number: 8082335Abstract: A method of performing network modification in a telecommunications network is disclosed. The method comprises storing a database comprising a master inventory defining network resources available in the network. A network modification is performed by a process comprising modifying the database storing the master inventory; and modifying the network in dependence on the modified database. The method can be used in the management of telecommunications systems. A network planning method is also disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: February 16, 2006Date of Patent: December 20, 2011Assignee: Amdocs Systems LimitedInventors: Richard Mishra, Markus Buchner, Johnston Harden Graham Glendinning, Manfred Geyer, Adan K. Publication number: 20090051607Abstract: At least one antenna is disposed and fixed in a vehicle seat. The at least one antenna is formed from a conductive textile or nonwoven formed separately from a seat cover of the vehicle seat. Preferably, the at least one antenna can be coupled to a transmitting or receiving unit.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 28, 2006Publication date: February 26, 2009Applicant: VDO AUTOMOTIVE AGInventors: Stefan Ellinger, Manfred Geyer, Peter Karges, Gerhard Wild, Jurgen Zacherl

Publication number: 20080306659Abstract: A device for differentiating between a person sitting on the seat surface of a vehicle seat and an object includes at least one largely flat bearing surface that is arranged over a large part of the seat surface including a central region. The novel device includes a vehicle seat, a cushion with weight sensors that are distributed over the seat surface of the vehicle seat in a plane manner, and an evaluation unit to which the signals of the weight sensors are supplied. A central region of the seat surface is curved in a concave manner in the direction of the bottom of the vehicle, in such a way that a first weight sensor arranged therein is closer to the bottom of the vehicle than a plurality of second weight sensors arranged in the region of the seat surface covered by the object, outside the central region. The capacity to differentiate between a person and an object is especially useful when the object is a child seat. In this case, the triggering of a passenger retaining means must be prevented.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 28, 2006Publication date: December 11, 2008Applicant: SIEMENS VDO AUTOMOTIVE AKTIENGESELLSCHAFTInventors: Manfred Geyer, Gerd Winkler

Patent number: 7091873Abstract: The invention relates to a device and method for detecting the occupation of a seat in a motor vehicle. The device comprises first sensor elements (SE1), which are flatly arranged on the seat surface of a vehicle seat and are part of a first sensor seat mat (OCSM) for measuring the weight or a weight profile on the vehicle seat. The device also comprises an evaluating unit, which is connected down from the sensor elements and provided for evaluating the first sensor signals of the first sensor seat mat (OCSM). The inventive device comprises additional safety sensor elements (SE2), which are flatly arranged on the seat surface of the vehicle seat, likewise connected to the evaluating unit, and provided for testing the operability of the first sensor elements (SE1).Type: GrantFiled: June 27, 2002Date of Patent: August 15, 2006Assignee: Siemens AktiengesellschaftInventors: Peter Bauer, Manfred Geyer, Michelle Homann, Henderikus-L Offereins
