  • Patent number: 4991829
Abstract: A method and personal banking machine is described by which two items such as cash and statement can be issued simultaneously through one and the same gate. The optimum point in time is determined and adaptively controlled by which the front edge of statement touches the bundle of bank notes during issuing movement of the bank notes. Then both, bank notes and statement, are moved together to their respective end positions. The method and the machine starts the statement transport after a certain monitored delay time (DELTA-STATEMENT). By calculating out of the time difference between the point in time at which the bank notes reach the end position and the statement reaches its end position, a new time delay (DELTA-STATEMENT) is calculated for the next combined cash and statement issue operation. The method provides for the simultaneous issuance of bank notes and a statement through a common exit gate.

  • Patent number: 4829302
Abstract: A clock-controlled analog/digital converter operating according to the weighing method includes a sample-and-hold element with an analog input, a comparator having inputs and a successive approximation register having a data output. The sample-and-hold element, the comparator and the successive approximation register being mutually interconnected in series. The successive approximation register includes memory elements for incrementing a defined logical state for each successive weighing step as well as for writing in and storing in memory the particular result of weighing ascertained by the comparator. A digital/analog converter has an input side connected to the data output and an output side connected to one of the inputs of the comparator. A decoder controls the comparator and the successive approximation register and has an input side connected to the data output.

  • Patent number: 4260338
Abstract: A multicylinder piston pump for pumping viscous liquids of varying composition with each cylinder having an extendible tubular piston intake valve and discharge valve is disclosed. The extendible tubular piston valves have a tubular piston slidably mounted in a cylindrical passage of a housing mounted adjacent to each cylinder. The tubular piston has an inner bore into which an inner piston is slidably mounted therein. The inner piston is connected to a piston rod which is connected to the housing. Hydraulic oil is used to extend each tubular piston valve so as to control the intake and discharge of fluid into the piston pump.
