  • Publication number: 20050174644
Abstract: A security element (1) for application or embedding in objects (300), in particular for documents of value such as bank notes, credit cards and the like, is structured in a multi-layer fashion and has an interference element I, which produces a color shift effect, a layer M with magnetic properties and a reflection layer R, which is located between interference element I and magnetic layer M. Designs of the invention pro-vide a negative writing 20 and/or coding 11 in reflection layer R and magnetic layer M. According to a further design diffraction structures 2 are integrated in the security element 1. Such a security element in particular is suitable as window security thread 200 in bank notes.

  • Publication number: 20050151368
Abstract: Security element 2, 4 to be embedded in or applied to a security document so that it is visually recognizable from both sides of security document 1 is of multilayer construction and includes interference element I with a color shift effect and diffraction structures 8. Depending on the arrangement of the layers and existing diffraction structures 8 on transparent substrate S the color shift effect and/or the diffractive effects are perceptible from one or both sides of security element 2, 4. The security element is suitable in particular as two-sided windowed thread 4 and as label or transfer element 2 over hole 3.

  • Publication number: 20050150740
Abstract: The invention relates to sheet material having an electrical circuit and to apparatuses and methods for processing said sheet material. The present invention describes sheet material having an electrical circuit as well as apparatuses and methods for processing same, which reduce the effort required for processing the sheet material and/or facilitate processing and/or improve it and/or make it more reliable. For this purpose, the sheet material has at least one electrical circuit, with energy and/or data being transmitted from the apparatus to the electrical circuit and/or from the electrical circuit to the apparatus and at least part of the transmitted data being used for processing.

  • Publication number: 20050127663
Abstract: A security element 2, 4 for embedding in or application to a security document in such a way that it is visually recognizable from both sides of the security document 1, is structured in a multilayer fashion and includes two interference elements I1, I2 with color shift effect, a metallic reflection layer R located in between as well as, optionally, diffraction structures 8. Depending on the disposition of the layers I1, R, I2 and the optionally present diffraction structures. 8 on a transparent substrate S the color shift effect and/or the diffractive effects are perceptible-from-one or from both sides of the security element 2, 4. The security element is particularly suitable as a two-sided window thread 4 and as a label or transfer element 2 above a hole 3 in the security document 1.

  • Publication number: 20040207194
Abstract: A security element is equipped with first code 40 of magnetic material and/or second code 30 of electroconductive material and has in addition third, optically read-able code 20, for example as negative writing and/or as a bar code, which is present in the magnetic and/or electroconductive code or is produced preferably together with third, neutral material 50, the neutral material not being either electroconductive or magnetic. According to the invention it is provided that all three aforementioned materials are indistinguishable to the viewer optically, that is, with the naked eye, and therefore appear as a uniform coating made of a single material.

  • Patent number: 4396106
Abstract: A mechanical vending machine with a coin analyzer and a control mechanism for the release of merchandise dispensing devices after the insertion of an appropriate amount in coins, has the control mechanism being coupled to a locking bar of the merchandise dispensing devices and has a slide lock for the locking bar. To make the control mechanism accessible and to disengage it, the coin analyzer and the control mechanism are disposed on a bracket mounted on horizontal tracks of the vending machine so as to be movable from a pushed-in position to a pulled-out position. The bracket has a hinge by means of which it can be pivoted in the pulled-out position about a vertical axis. Disposed on the bracket is a coupling device which couples the control mechanism to the locking bar and to the slide lock in the pushed-in position, and which disengages when moved into the pulled-out position.
