  • Patent number: 5291088
Abstract: A moisture-proof coupling, which is simple in design and easy to assemble, is disposed between a motor housing and a bearing plate, with the electrical leads running out through the moisture-proof coupling. The electrical leads are integrally molded in an insulated lead-insert, which can be inserted into an opening on the end face of the bearing plate. A circumferential sealing ring is molded on the insulated lead-insert. The sealing ring is injection-molded together with the lead-insert on a brush plate so that it can be pre-positioned and, when the motor is assembled, can be pressed between the motor housing and the bearing plate to form a seal. The brush plate can be fixed together with the lead-insert and the sealing ring in the bearing plate in the manner of a pre-assembled component.

  • Patent number: 5075195
Abstract: A method of laser marking plastics objects of any desired shape, wherein the object to be marked contains a radiation-sensitive additive which effects a change in the light reflectance and is subjected to a laser with pulsed light such that the laser beam is deflected through a mask or directed over the surface of the object to be marked, in conformity with the shape of the marking which is to be applied so as to form a visual effect marking at the areas of impact on said object without the surface of said object suffering damage which is visible to the eye. The method includes using molybdenum disulfide as additive and choosing the laser parameters of wavelength, pulse content and pulse duration such that an effect marking is produced whose contrast undergoes visual change depending on the angle of light and observation.

  • Patent number: 4941068
Abstract: A portable ion generator has a housing with a high tension source therein. The high tension source has two output connections of which one is electrically conductively connected to a high voltage needle electrode while the other is electrically conductively connected to a counterelectrode disposed around the needle electrode. So that the housing of the generator can be worn without being obtrusively visible, without adversely affecting operation of the electrodes, the needle electrode and the counterelectrode are carried by a relatively small carrier member and connected to the high tension source by means of flexible electrical conductor elements. The ion generator has a contact element which is at the potential of the counterelectrode and which may be provided on the housing and/or the carrier member.
