  • Publication number: 20070195983
Abstract: A mount for a microphone that includes an optional windscreen is disclosed. The mount includes preferably two resilient microphone supports that each comprise a resilient microphone ring attached to a plurality of resilient ring bands. Each ring can accommodate and frictionally retain microphones of various sizes and diameters. Each microphone support is fixed at a lower end thereof to a microphone support base which has least one mounting aperture therein. The mount further includes an elongated generally cylindrical cage that has a front open end, a rear open end, and an acoustically-permeable rigid wall. A bottom surface of the cage includes a resilient base fixture that includes at least one mounting aperture therein. A pair of reticulated foam hemispheric end caps are preferably included that are slidably, frictionally retained within the open ends of the cage.

  • Publication number: 20060227991
Abstract: A combination windscreen and shock-absorbing mount for a microphone is disclosed. The mount includes a clamp support comprising a base, a manual clamping means, and a pivot platform. A support bracket is attached to the pivot platform by an attachment means, and further includes a windscreen support mount and at least one microphone support mounting arm. An elastomeric shock-absorbing microphone support is adapted for lockable engagement with each microphone support mounting arm of the support bracket, and further includes a microphone aperture therethrough for receiving and frictionally retaining the microphone. A windscreen support is adapted for lockable engagement with the windscreen support mount of the support bracket. The windscreen support includes a ring with an aperture at least partially therethrough. The ring frictionally retains a windscreen, which is comprised of a generally elongated body with a closed end and an open end.

  • Patent number: 6594371
Abstract: An articulated telescopic microphone boom assembly is disclosed. The articulated telescopic microphone boom assembly includes a first hollow cylindrical telescoping boom attached to a hollow hinge assembly providing articulation with a second hollow cylindrical telescoping boom. The hollow hinge assembly includes a locking mechanism to fix the first hollow cylindrical telescoping boom at several predetermined angles in relation to the second hollow cylindrical telescoping boom. The first and second hollow cylindrical telescoping booms are each extended in a telescopic fashion and are fixed into place at a desired length. A microphone coupling means is secured to the one end of one of the cylindrical telescoping booms. An audio cable assembly is ensleeved within the articulated telescopic microphone boom assembly. The audio cable assembly male audio coupler is mounted in the handle and the audio cable assembly female audio coupler is mounted in the microphone coupling means.

  • Patent number: 4904835
Abstract: An apparatus is provided for the uniform and rapid heating of foodstuffs, usually for pasteurization and sterilization purposes, by means of microwave energy. The cross-sectional shape of the outlet of the wave guides through which the microwave energy is supplied is selected so as to be geometrically similar to that of the product to be treated. A spacing is maintained between the outlet aperture and the surface of the product, which spacing is not greater than the wavelength of the microwave energy be used. These features provide rapid and appropriate processing of a food product while, at the same time, preventing the harmful overheating of the edge regions of the product.
