  • Patent number: 5804995
Abstract: The subject of the invention is a monitoring circuit for at least one supply voltage, having comparators that generate a first report signal if the supply voltage is below a predeterminable threshold value and a second report signal after a fixed warning time elapses. The supply voltage is supplied in a first circuit unit (4) to a first comparator (7). The first comparator is followed by a switch element, with which a capacitor (19), connected parallel to it and chargeable from an operating voltage source, can be short-circuited in order to lower the input voltage of a second comparator (13), disposed in the control unit (4), to below a second reference voltage that defines a limit value for the resetting of the report signal.

  • Patent number: 4467713
Abstract: A method of and an apparatus for recovering oil, especially edible oils, from oil-containing fruit and seed in which immediately upon cleaning the fruit and seed, this oil-bearing material is subjected to cold pressing without prior heat treatment to recover a portion of the oil and the residue is thereupon extracted.

  • Patent number: 4401023
Abstract: A worm press, especially for pressing vegetable matter, e.g. in the pressing of oil from oil-bearing seeds and fruits, comprises a worm having a plurality of worm sections and a housing within which the worm rotates and which is formed with rings defining axially spaced constrictions for the pressed mass between the worm sections. The worm has annular frustoconical shoulders juxtaposed with frustoconical flanks of the respective rings so that the flanks of each ring and shoulder define a respective constriction which is of a width adjustable by relative axial displacement of the worm and the housing, the rings being fixed in the housing and the shoulders being fixed on the worm.

  • Patent number: 4400398
Abstract: Method for obtaining aromatics and/or dyestuffs from bell peppers wherein red pepper is extracted with a solvent which is in a supercritical state and is gaseous under normal conditions. The extraction takes place at a pressure of >P.sub.k to 350 bar and a temperature of >T.sub.k to 70.degree. C. The extracted aromatics and/or dyestuffs are separated from the separated supercritical gas phase by lowering the density of the gas phase.

  • Patent number: 4357865
Abstract: Apparatus for recovering oil, especially edible oils, from oil-containing fruit and seed in which immediately upon cleaning the fruit and seed, this oil-bearing material is subjected to cold pressing without prior heat treatment to recover a portion of the oil and the residue is thereupon extracted. The apparatus comprises a worm press formed with a perforated cylinder and a worm rotatable in said cylinder, said worm and said cylinder are subdivided along their lengths into a plurality of sections by respective shear gaps and throttles. The depth of the helical groove between flights progressively decreases toward the shear gaps and, in general, along the worm. The thread depth can range between 2 and 12% of the outer diameter of the worm which is preferably constant over the entire length thereof. Each flight may have a progressively decreasing pitch angle toward the outlet side and can be between 7.5 and 15.

  • Patent number: 4223601
Abstract: A pressing worm or screw, especially for filter presses of the type used to press liquids from solids, e.g. oils from eatable-oil-bearing seeds, is formed with an outwardly opened groove along its flight or thread which is filled with a harder metal than the flight by deposit welding.
