Patent number: 11933314Abstract: A compressor wheel for a compressor of a turbocharger has a hub and a multiplicity of blades on the hub. In intermediate spaces of the multiplicity of blades, a channel is in each case formed between a suction side and a pressure side. The channel guides fluid that flows in axially in relation to a rotation axis radially or radially-axially outward. The hub in relation to the rotation axis is contoured such that the hub has a rotationally symmetrical portion and a non-rotationally symmetrical portion. On the non-rotationally symmetrical portion, a transition between the hub and each of the blades is embodied with a radiused connection and facing the suction side has a region of modified thickness. A region formed by control rays is generated in at least one channel between the suction side and the pressure side on the hub. A method produces the compressor wheel.Type: GrantFiled: August 29, 2022Date of Patent: March 19, 2024Assignee: BorgWarner Inc.Inventors: Martin Schön, Markus Eisenbarth, Manfred Krämer

Patent number: 11331973Abstract: A voltage converter of a high voltage driver generates a high voltage applied to an electrorheological damper. The voltage converter and the electrorheological damper are electrically connected together through a connecting portion. The connecting portion comprises an electrode pin that connects the voltage converter and an electrode cylinder of the electrorheological damper; a ground pin that connects an external cylinder of the electrorheological damper and ground, and a ground detection pin disposed separately from the ground pin and connected to the ground through the external cylinder and the ground pin. When the ground detection pin and the ground are disconnected, the voltage converter discontinues the voltage generation with or without a command (control signal) of a sub-controller.Type: GrantFiled: June 13, 2018Date of Patent: May 17, 2022Assignee: HITACHI ASTEMO, LTD.Inventors: Manfred Krämer, Timo Arnold, Joachim Funke, Matthias Bruns

Patent number: 6466539Abstract: Subject of the invention is a serial bus system with two data lines (10, 12), connected at one end to a central bus subscriber (14) and to an active bus subscriber at the other end (16). The central and the active bus subscriber transmits status messages over the bus (10, 12) whose bus lines are physically passed through in the bus subscribers (18, 20) between the two ends. In case of missing status messages or error in the status messages, the central bus subscriber (14) brings the bus system into a fail-safe state.Type: GrantFiled: October 17, 1997Date of Patent: October 15, 2002Assignee: ELAN Schaltelemente GmbH & Co. Patent number: 6261068Abstract: A gas compressor includes a compression chamber, an outlet valve, and a shuttle valve which disables the outlet valve when it is connected to an atmospheric pressure relief chamber in idle operation. A throttle line circumventing the shuttle valve is provided which permits by-passed flow between the compression chamber and the atmospheric pressure relief chamber in idle operation, thereby preventing deposits and moisture condensation in the downstream flow path to the pressure relief chamber due to the disabling of the outlet valve, which might otherwise lead to possible operational malfunctions. Compressed-air systems employed in the automotive industry represent an important area of application for the invention.Type: GrantFiled: October 11, 1999Date of Patent: July 17, 2001Assignee: Wabco GmbHInventors: Manfred Kramer, Heinrich Schlossarczyk, Karl-Heinrich Schönfeld
