Publication number: 20070125117Abstract: A spiral cooler and a process for cooling workpieces are proposed. A very simple structure is enabled by the workpieces being cooled in counterflow by cooling air, preferably a negative pressure being produced in the conveyor channel by branching off and redelivering a partial flow.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 20, 2006Publication date: June 7, 2007Applicant: Joest GmbH + Co. KGInventor: Manfred Kreft

Patent number: 6666336Abstract: A sieving device with a vibratory supporting frame and a vibration frame which is held against said supporting frame so as to be able to vibrate freely. A simple, compact design which provides good sieving and conveying performance is achieved in that the vibration frame is spring-elastically coupled to the supporting frame by torsion-bar-like spring elements.Type: GrantFiled: April 5, 2001Date of Patent: December 23, 2003Assignee: Jöst GmbH + Co. KGInventor: Manfred Kreft

Patent number: 6508364Abstract: A sieving device and the operation of a sieving device are proposed. The sieving device has a supporting frame which can be made to vibrate and a vibration frame which is held so as to be able to vibrate freely in relation to said supporting frame. A simple, compact design which provides good sieving and conveying performance is achieved in that the vibration frame is spring-elastically coupled to the supporting frame by helical springs, with the main spring axes of the spring elements extending in the direction of vibration of the tension waves. Furthermore, guiding elements for movable bearing arrangement of the vibration frame on the supporting frame are provided. The sieving device is operated in particular at a vibration frequency of at least 850 vibrations per minute at an average speed of approx. 11 m/s and at an average acceleration of the vibration frame relative to the supporting frame of approx. 2.2 m/s2.Type: GrantFiled: January 24, 2001Date of Patent: January 21, 2003Assignee: Jöst GmbH + Co. KGInventors: Manfred Kreft, Josef Zuber

Patent number: 5483752Abstract: A device for heating or cooling of bulk material including two pairs of vibrating chutes, with each pair being formed of two oppositely inclined chutes mounted one above the other and with each pair being equipped with a unidirectional vibrator, and with vibrating chutes of each pair being connected with a plurality of pairs of oppositely inclined articulated bars, and with vibrating chutes being equipped with flow ducts connected with each other in such a way that heating or cooling medium flows in the flow ducts of the vibrating chutes of each pair in the same direction so that in one chute the directions of flow of the heating or cooling material coincide with the flow of bulk material, and in the other chute they flow in opposite directions.Type: GrantFiled: April 8, 1994Date of Patent: January 16, 1996Assignees: Jost GmbH & Co., KG, Rheinbraun AGInventors: Manfred Kreft, Hans-Joachim Klutz

Patent number: 5407060Abstract: A resonant vibrating conveyer is disclosed which has a vibratory drive and spring supports connecting the trough with an intermediate frame which is, in turn, attached to a foundation via springs. The forces transmitted to the foundation are reduced to a minimum while permitting a relatively light-weight construction of the conveyer. This is achieved by arranging first pre-loaded springs with countervibrating masses acting at the point of attachment of second pre-loaded springs between the conveyer trough and the intermediate frame.Type: GrantFiled: September 23, 1993Date of Patent: April 18, 1995Assignee: Uhde GmbHInventor: Manfred Kreft

Patent number: 4970806Abstract: Bulk material containing vaporizable ingredients, such as lignite, hard coal, peat, waste wood, clarifier sludge, waste sludge, contaminated earth, catalysts, zeolites and filter cake, is conditioned by means of a vibrating plate conveyor divided into a heating section and a drying section, using an indirect heat exchange method. The bulk material is heated in an enclosed heating section while withdrawing the vapor from this section. In the downstream enclosed drying section, the vaporizable fractions contained in the bulk material are further reduced with the aid of heat supplied indirectly, the vapor being withdrawn. The bulk material is separated several times into coarse and fine fractions utilizing at least one slotted grid, the fines being immediately recycled and remixed with the coarse fractions which have a higher water content. The bulk material is mixed several times while being heated in the drying section before discharge.Type: GrantFiled: October 21, 1988Date of Patent: November 20, 1990Assignee: UHDE GmbHInventors: Harmut Hederer, Manfred Kreft, Wolfgang Hillebrand
