  • Patent number: 4724414
Abstract: In an electrical switchgear having a common housing for a thermostatic expansion material element and at least two electrical snap switches that can be actuated by a working piston of the expansion material element, the snap switches are electrically separated from one another and each have their own rocker for switching the snap switches in response to displacement of the working piston. The switching rockers move in parallel paths and are arranged to at least one side of the longitudinal center of the working piston.

  • Patent number: 4389629
Abstract: An electrical switch with a thermostatic working element as the actuating element and with a switch element designed as a microswitch. In order to achieve optimal utilization of space and small structural size, the contact support of the working contact of the microswitch, looking at the microswitch in a top view, is mounted laterally-displaced and next to a contact tongue of the microswitch.

  • Patent number: 4374373
Abstract: A snap-action thermal switch adapted to be operated by an expansion element. The switch includes a switch reed pivotable between two switching positions, a switch spring exerting force components in a longitudinal direction and in a pivoting direction of the switch reed. One end of the spring engages the switch reed and the other end of the switch spring is articulated to an adjusting element adjustable by an operating piston of the expansion element in such a way that, after attaining a predetermined position of the operating piston, the force component of the switch spring acting in a pivoting direction on the switch reed reverses direction with respect to the switch reed after traversing a zero position. At least one second pivotable switch reed is provided, with the second switch reed being articulated, through its own switch spring exerting a force component in a longitudinal direction and a force component in a pivoting direction of the second switch reed, to the adjusting element.

  • Patent number: 4225841
Abstract: A temperature-dependent switch is provided with a substance, which expands when heated in a housing, and a transmission part. The transmission part is displaceable by a diaphragm, a sealing part, accepting a beaded edge on the diaphragm with an annular groove is included. The integral housing serves to accept the substance which expands or contracts as a function of temperature, the sealing part, the diaphragm and the transmission part. A prong plate is fastened to housing for at least one electrical prong. The scaling part is provided with at least one recess to accept an insulating part. The transmission part is effectively connected with an electrical prong.
