  • Patent number: 7689662
Abstract: A method and an arrangement of access to data by users in mobile communications networks which can be controlled. Data which is stored in one or more data memories in the mobile communications network for a user of the mobile communications network is addressed by a data processing device, after which a central control device in the mobile communications network uses predetermined checking criteria to check whether the data processing device is authorized to access such data, and the central control device allows access if the check result is positive.

  • Patent number: 7636572
Abstract: Controlling setting-up a connection in a mobile communication system includes storing, in at least one subscriber database, subscriber-oriented data for a subscriber registered in a home mobile radio network, entering the subscriber-oriented data in a subscriber database when the subscriber moves, and setting-up a connection for the subscriber with a mobile station using a mobile switching center coupled to the subscriber database.

  • Publication number: 20070217347
Abstract: By signalling information for establishing the push-to-talk communication of a first terminal with a switching node in a mobile telecommunications network, establishing a usable link with the switching node from the first terminal and then establishing a usable link with at least one other terminal from the switching node, a push-to-talk connection is established.

  • Publication number: 20060111087
Abstract: Network internal functions of a telecommunication network can be access from an external site (Se), for example, a server, for the running of external services for network users (Mo), whereby the access is achieved by means of a secure service interface device (S2) on a network (“access network”) on the basis of a service agreement, valid for said service interface, in the favour of the external site (Se). According to the invention, in order to achieve access to functions in an other network (target network), as a result of a request (3) for a network internal function, sent to the interface device (S2) from the external site (Se), said interface checks for whether the request comprises the use of a function of the target network. Where the above is the case, a service agreement (4) (transitive agreement) is concluded between the interface device (S2) and a secure service interface device (S1) of B the target network.

  • Patent number: 7050454
Abstract: A method and communication network for administering additional services which provides that a subscriber self-input into communication terminal equipment be initiated by the subscriber for the respective additional service and, due to the subscriber self-input at least one structured container message is generated by the communication terminal equipment and is sent to a memory unit of the communication network. The container message received by the memory unit is inventively forwarded via an interface that connects the memory unit to the service control point. The interface implemented between memory unit and service control point makes it possible that the container message can be forwarded up to the service control point for a service handling via the subscriber self-input for the additional service.

  • Publication number: 20050086535
Abstract: Method for authenticating a user for the purposes of establishing a connection from a mobile terminal to a WLAN network A user in a telecommunications network wishes do use a WLAN access. To do this he needs a WLAN authentication token, a login and a password. The key point of the invention is that, for the transmission and communication of the authentication data to the WLAN, it is not the SMS protocol which is used but the alternative USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) protocol. These so-called USSD strings can be easily entered by users on their terminal keypads. The USSD string is then not sent to the SMS gateway, as in the known method, but is sent directly to the Home Location Register (HLR) of the mobile radio network.

  • Publication number: 20040153546
Abstract: A simple and efficient way of connecting services to applications is described by the apparatus and method for connecting services to applications in a communication network, characterized in that an OSA gateway (4) for providing a service sets up an access point between a requesting application (1) and a portal (3) in order to negotiate a transmission protocol, and in that, following successful negotiation, provision of the service in the portal (3) is granted to the application (1) via the OSA gateway (4).

  • Patent number: 6560274
Abstract: A (mobile) transceiver can be switched into different equipment states, and is provided with an equipment state in which supplementary functions (appointment calendar, games, etc.)—which do not require any transmission via a radio interface of the transceiver—can be executed without any transmission of the transceiver via the radio interface. In particular, there is no transmission of a signal or organizational data which is normally automatically transmitted when a transceiver is activated or in a standby or a ready-to-receive state.

  • Patent number: 6507645
Abstract: A method for changing service data includes setting up service data in at least one of subscriber register nodes of a telecommunications network, the service data containing subscription-related data concerning subscribers of the network and the service data to be altered by at least one message of a functional protocol. The at least one message of a functional protocol is sent to the at least one of the subscriber register nodes. A terminal of the network generates a handler message based on a specific command input by a user on the terminal. The handler message is independent of the functional protocol and has identification information concerning a subscriber of the network and change information regarding a nature and scope of a change of the service data of the subscriber. The terminal sends the handler message to a service control point of the network.

  • Patent number: 6363144
Abstract: A method provides that an initiating message is sent from a first service switching unit to a service control unit assigned to a supplementary service. In the service control unit there then takes place a comparison of a protocol supported by the first switching unit with a protocol necessary for the requested supplementary service. According to the result of the comparison, a second service switching unit, which can support the protocol necessary for the requested supplementary service, is determined, and a rerouting to the service switching unit is initiated.
