Abstract: A method and system for changing subscribers in communications networks. In communications networks, more and more information providers (referred to as content providers) are making available WML/HTML pages (data contents) on their servers which subscribers can request and download onto their terminal. The present invention is directed to a method and a system which charges information transmitted via a communications network on the basis of its content. The criteria for classifying a WML page in a billing system are the information provider's. A “WAP gateway” constitutes the interface between the subscriber and the WAP data world or Internet data world. All the WML/HTML/XML content called by subscribers passes through a WAP gateway. According to the present invention, a network unit responds to the charging inquiries for subscribers.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for paying a user fee proposed by a service provider by means of the terminal of a service user. The inventive method consists in calculating a payable amount with the aid of a billing device and in paying the payable amount by the bank account of the service user, thereby allowing said user to use a service. When requesting a service, the user can appoint the execution time for the service, the paying of the payable amount being carried out according to the execution time.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for accessing an account in an account manager device, where the method involves the following method taking place when a billing request arises which relates to a first sum value in the account. An access device reads a second sum value, which is buffer-stored in a buffer store associated with the account, from the buffer store, the first sum value and the second sum value are added to form a total value, the total value is compared with a predetermined threshold value, an access message relating to the account is sent to the account management device if the threshold value is exceeded, or the total value is buffer-stored in the buffer store and the access is terminated if the threshold value is undershot.

Abstract: In the world of mobile telecommunications, roaming agreements have become successful which enable a user to use his/her terminal in a foreign mobile radio network (i.e., in another one than his/her own). Although this established method currently only applies to telecommunication services, it can be extended to the mobile payment transactions in that the existing clearing means from the roaming agreements from the existing business relationships are utilized to effect a method for transferring values in telecommunication networks.

Abstract: A method for the setup and charge-related billing of a telecommunication connection from a telecommunication line unit of a communication network to a target telecommunication network, wherein the telecommunication connection is charged at a preference charge rate when the target communication line unit belongs to a previously made selection of target telecommunication line units and the telecommunication connection is charged at a charge rate that is more expensive vis-a-vis the preference charge rate when the target telecommunication connection does not belong to the selection.
