  • Patent number: 5095676
Abstract: A sectional frame and insert arrangement in which one contact surface on the insert rests against the frame, and the insert has a flange with a foot-shaped cross-section extending into a channel with a C-shaped cross-section. The flange has an impact surface that extends perpendicular to the contact surface and rests against the wall of the channel. The flange has a snap-in edge that engages below and can be released from the head of another wall having a T-shaped cross-section and being positioned opposite the first wall. Positioners enclosing at least partly the inserted area of the snap-in edge of the foot-section flange, are inserted into a longitudinal snap-in groove. The positioners have resilient tongues above the snap-in edge resting against the head of the T-section wall.

  • Patent number: 4697337
Abstract: The invention relates to a apparatus for manufacturing thermo-insulated compound profiles for windows, doors and facades, wherein two metal profiles to be joined to form a compound profile are provided with longitudinal grooves into which connecting webs forming an insulating chamber together with the metal profiles are inserted, and secured at their base portions, engaging in the longitudinal grooves, by means of the deformation of the retaining strips bounding the longitudinal grooves.

  • Patent number: 4646416
Abstract: Method for fabricating thermo-insulated compound profiles for windows, doors and facades, wherein two metal profiles (8, 11) to be joined to the compound profile (13) are provided with longitudinal grooves wherein are inserted clamping battens (7) forming together with the metal profiles (8, 11) an insulation chamber (9) and which are secured at the base portion thereof engaged in the longitudinal grooves by deformation of the retainer bars (10, 12) limiting the longitudinal grooves.

  • Patent number: 4640072
Abstract: A multipart thermally insulated metal profile for facade structures or roof structures, which receives covering panels made of glass (9) or other materials (10) between an interior profile (2) and an exterior profile (1) with interposition of sealing means (7, 8), while the exterior profile (1) is screwed to insulators (4) let into the interior profile (2), is to be provided with a more favorable heat transfer coefficient, designating the k value, than was hitherto possible. For this purpose the interior profile (2) is composed of a contact profile (11) for covering panels (9, 10) and a screening profile (12) oriented parallel thereto at an interval on the room side, which are mutually connected by means of insulating bars (13) anchored in respective profile grooves and continuous in the longitudinal direction of the profiles.

  • Patent number: 4592123
Abstract: An arrangement for manufacturing thermo-insulated compound profiles for windows, doors and facades, in which metal profiles to be joined for forming a compound profile, have at least one longitudinal groove. Insulating connecting webs are secured in this groove. Press rollers are located opposite one another in pairs at right angles to the profile axis, and press on the outer sides of the connecting webs against retaining strips. These retaining strips bound the longitudinal groove of the metal profiles. The press rollers press together the retaining strips and base of the connecting webs. One of the press rollers has at least two forming discs which can be displaced in a dependent manner in a plane of the roller. The discs are also supported on a hub of the roller.

  • Patent number: 4349495
Abstract: In a method for the production of thermally insulated composite sections a free space (4) formed between at least two metal sections (1,2), held spaced apart, and sealed at the bottom is filled from its open side with an insulating material (10) which at first is in liquid form and then hardens. In order to produce such sections, particularly also those of large size, with the least possible expense for labor and material, and at the same time to achieve the most favorable heat insulation values in the insulating region, solid insulating material layers (12,13) positively and frictionally joining together the metal sections (1,2), and insulating layers (14) hardening with a porous structure are introduced in succession into the free space (4), each layer only partly filling the free space.
