  • Patent number: 8574527
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for aftertreating carbon black, wherein the carbon black is subjected to a carrier gas flow in a fluidized bed apparatus in the lower region of the apparatus, an additional gas stream is introduced into the fluidized bed apparatus, and the carbon black is aftertreated in the fluidized bed which arises.

  • Patent number: 8486157
Abstract: Process for the phase transformation of substances and mixtures of substances, in which the substance or the mixture of substances is introduced into a plasma reactor, the substance or the mixture of substances is converted into the higher-energy phase and the product is removed in gaseous form from the plasma reactor. The process can be used for the sublimation of metal salts, metal nitrates and/or metal alkoxides and other vaporizable metal-organic compounds.

  • Patent number: 3952496
Abstract: Process of producing a composite thread in which at least one multifilament thread is run freely and substantially perpendicularly onto a core thread being drawn through a false-twist interval, such that the multifilament thread forms a sheath of at least partially separated filaments wrapped around the core thread, at least one of the core and sheath threads being heat-fixed or heat-set while in a twisted state. The product of the invention is a composite thread exhibiting the properties of natural fibers, especially wool-like properties, with relatively large variations in texture and crimping characteristics. The apparatus of the invention includes, in addition to conventional false-twist means for the core thread, a delivery means to supply at least one additional multifilament thread in a free path substantially perpendicularly onto the core thread in its false-twist interval.
