  • Patent number: 4971113
Abstract: A mixing-valve assembly has a hollow housing, a valve plate in the housing formed with hot- and cold-water inlet ports and an outlet port, a control plate slidable on the valve plate and formed with a mixing cavity alignable with the ports, and a lever assembly pivoted on the control plate for sliding the control plate on the valve plate and thereby bringing the cavity into registration with the ports for water flow therebetween. An adapter disk fitted in the housing is formed with a recessed seat in which the valve plate is snugly engaged and with respective passages communicating with the valve-plate ports. The adapter disk is secured in the housing to fix the valve plate therein.

  • Patent number: 4687025
Abstract: A mixing valve has a base plate adapted to be fixedly mounted on a base fitting and a housing sleeve centered on an axis, mounted on the base plate for rotation about the axis, and formed with a radially open window. A stationary valve plate is fixed on the base plate inside the sleeve and formed with at least two incoming liquid ports and one outgoing water port spaced therefrom. A movable valve plate flatly sitting on the stationary plate inside the sleeve is formed with a chamber alignable with the ports therein. This movable plate is angularly and radially displaceable relative to the axis so the chamber variously overlaps and interconnects the ports. A control member fixed inside the sleeve to the movable valve plate is pivoted on the inner end of a control member also pivoted on the sleeve and having an outer end projecting radially from the sleeve through the window. The sleeve has a lower end rotatably mounted on the base plate and an internally threaded upper end.

  • Patent number: 4621659
Abstract: A mixing valve for sanitary operations comprises a valve seat disk having two inlet passage openings and a controlling disk held against the valve seat disk adjustable by a handle, so that the relative proportions of the fluids mixed are controllable by rotation of the controlling disk and the flow rate of the mixed fluid is controlled by a displacement of the controlling disk, wherein the two inlet passage openings for the fluids mixed are formed symmetrically positioned in one half of the valve seat disk, each of the two inlet passage openings being formed as an arcuate segment positioned on a circular arc, and wherein a transfer passage formed in the controlling disk is brought into overlap with the inlet passage openings adjacent an arc shaped front edge of the transfer passage.

  • Patent number: 4540023
Abstract: A mixing valve of the type utilizing a fixed valve seat disk and a movable control disk is described. The axis of rotation of the control disk in the valve housing is offset in relation to the center of the valve seat disk towards the inlet passages. With this arrangement the pivot angle for setting the mixture ratio is increased.

  • Patent number: 4535814
Abstract: An improved lever head for a single handle mixing faucet of the type wherein the hand lever is brought out of the body at right angles to the valve slides is described. Volume adjustments are made by swiveling the handle from side to side whereas mixing adjustments are made by rotating the hand lever about its longitudinal axis.

  • Patent number: 4501408
Abstract: A volume control valve in accordance with the invention is formed in a valve body which is adapted for insertion into a valve fitting. The valve body includes a valve seat insert and a valve disk. A sealing element is disposed between the valve seat insert and the valve fitting. The sealing element is carried on a supporting piece such that a first face of the sealing element is disposed on one side of the supporting piece and a second face is disposed on the other side of the supporting piece. The supporting piece is held against shoulders in the body such that the valve seat insert is prestressed by a predetermined amount by the first face. The second face is deformable against the fitting to accomodate different fitting depths.
