  • Patent number: 4898772
Abstract: A preparation for the abhesive coating of baking tins, baking molds, frying pans, metal pots and the like is disclosed. The preparation which comprises predominantly a heat-curable, polyol-modified polysiloxane A and 0.05 to 4% by weight, based on polysiloxane A, of a linear siloxane B that is capable of reacting with polysiloxane A. The modified polysiloxane A is obtained by reaction of a polysiloxane A1 of the general formula. ##STR1## wherein OR.sup.1 is an alkoxy group, derived from a primary or scondary alcohol with 1 to 4 carbon atoms,R.sup.2 is alkyl and/or phenyl,a=1 to 1.5,b=0.1 to 0.08,with a multihydric alcohol A2, with the characteristic feature that, as multihydric alcohol A2, is used an ester group-containing polyo of the general formula ##STR2## which can be obtained by the esterification of 1 mole of dicarboxylic acid HOOC--R.sup.7 --COOH with 2 moles of alcohol of formula R.sup.6 OH, the R.sup.6 groups in the molecule being the same or different and representing the groups ##STR3## wherein R.

  • Patent number: 4487809
Abstract: Heat-curable vehicles and a process for their preparation which can be diluted with water after neutralization, by the partial reaction of a low molecular weight alkoxysiloxane with a low molecular weight polyol having carboxyl groups and at least two hydroxyl groups. The vehicle dissolves in water, optionally in the presence of slight amounts of auxiliary solvents, highly concentrated solutions being obtained with a solids content of 80 weight percent or higher, yet a relatively low viscosity.

  • Patent number: 4452961
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for heat-curable silicone resins and their synthesis by reacting a low molecular weight alkoxysilane with a low molecular weight polyol with 2 to 6 hydroxyl groups in the molecule. The reaction products have a very low viscosity, which is suitable for processing when about 20% of solvent, based on the non-volatile resin, are added.

  • Patent number: 4408031
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the preparation of heat-curable resins, usable especially as electrically insulating resins, by the reaction of alkoxy siloxanes of the formula ##STR1## in which OR.sup.1 represents an alkoxy group of primary or secondary aliphatic alcohols with 1 to 4 carbon atoms,R.sup.2 represents an alkyl or a phenyl group,a has a value of 1.0 to 1.5,b has a value of 0.1 to 1.0; witha mixture of low molecular weight, multihydric alcohols consisting of(a) 25 to 95 mole percent of neopentylglycol hydroxypivalate, and(b) 75 to 5 mole percent of a low molecular weight, at least trihydric alcoholat temperatures of 80.degree. to 200.degree. C. The resins thus prepared can be utilized advantageously for the insulation of generators, transformers and the like. They possess high elasticity and excellent adhesion.

  • Patent number: 4302512
Abstract: A composition for the abhesive coating of metallic cooking surfaces composed of a heat-curable polysiloxane resin, based on the silicone resin, and 0.05 to 4 weight percent of a compound having the formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are the same or different and represent a methyl or phenyl residue, with the proviso that at least 80 mole percent of these residues are methyl residues,R.sup.3 are the same or different and represent a residue or several residues of the group(a) alkyl residues with 1 to 4 carbon atoms,(b) phenyl residues,(c) residues which are capable of reaction with the condensable groups of the curable polysiloxane resin, wherein at least one residue R.sup.3 has the meaning of (c), x is 0 or a number greater than 0.The composition forms coatings which are durably abhesive and possess excellent mechanical resistance under conditions of use.
