  • Patent number: 6103950
Abstract: The description relates to a process for the production of aqueous chlorine dioxide solutions through oxidation of chlorite with oxo acids and/or oxo acid anions having a suitable redox potential in a buffered aqueous medium, wherein an acidic aqueous solution A is produced which has a pH of about 5 or less and contains the oxo acids and/or oxo acid anions, and the acidic aqueous solution A is mixed with an aqueous chlorite solution B to form chlorine dioxide, wherein a pH of less than 6.95 is adjusted in the reaction mixture, this pH value being stabilized by a buffering system contained therein.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 23, 1999
Date of Patent: August 15, 2000
Inventors: Manfred Rimpler, Fritz Kueke, Marcus Rimpler

  • Patent number: 5366702
Abstract: Apparatus for generating ozone with a high voltage source and at least two spaced plate electrodes with an interposed dielectric for forming at least one flow path, at least one of the plate electrodes being oscillatable, the plate electrode comprising two layers of electrically conductive material, whereof at least one layer is oscillatable, a resilient-attenuating material is placed between the two layers and the two layers are fixed in order to permit oscillations of the electrodes.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 8, 1993
Date of Patent: November 22, 1994
