    Abstract: A method for producing a substantially shell-shaped, fiber-reinforced plastic part includes preheating a material blank that is formed of a fibrous material impregnated with a matrix material using a heating device to ensure the formability and placing the preheated material blank into a shaping tool having an upper die and a lower die. The shaping tool is then closed to form the material blank. Using a cooling device, at least one shaping surface of the shaping tool, with the material blank inserted, is at least partially cooled.
