  • Publication number: 20080066381
Abstract: A revolving door comprising an exterior stationary drum wall having two passageways; a rotating device disposed within the stationary drum wall and comprising at least two rotating door leaves; and a deformable wall section disposed between each rotating door leaf and the stationary drum wall.

  • Publication number: 20080016772
Abstract: A revolving door comprising a rotating device operable to rotate in a direction of rotation; exterior stationary drum walls surrounding the rotating device and defining two passageways, each drum wall having a front edge facing the direction of rotation; at least two rotating door leaves disposed within the drum walls and attached to the rotating device, each door leaf having a side facing away from the rotating device; and a pivotable portion which is pivotably attached to the side of each door leaf. If a user is being jammed between the front edge of a drum wall and the pivotable portion of a door leaf, a predetermined resistance of the jamming makes the pivotable portion to pivot relative to the door leaf, thereby clearing a space between the front edge of the drum wall and the pivotable portion of the door leaf to prevent the user from being jammed.

  • Patent number: 6959949
Abstract: A driven part can be pivotably mounted to the door frame so that, in a starting position, it engages a driving part fixed to the leaf frame in order to fix the position of the door leaf with respect to the door frame. An electromagnetic brake generates a moment to retain the driven part in the starting position when electrical current is supplied, and allows the driven part to pivot from the starting position when electrical current is not supplied. The driven part is held in the starting position when the driven part returns to the starting position and no moment is generated by the electromagnetic brake.

  • Publication number: 20040066047
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for securing the door leaves (1) of a multiple-leaf door system against unintentional deflection from the normal operating position. Said device comprises a lock (retaining device (HV) that is located in the vicinity of the ends of the door leaves (1) and is configured as a switching gear. The lock can be secured in the normal position by an integrated magnetic brake (MB).

  • Patent number: 6367198
Abstract: This invention relates to a revolving door with a plurality of door panels which can be rotated around a central axis inside a cylindrical barrel wall that surrounds them. The invention teaches that one of the door panels or parts thereof can be detached from the position it or they occupy during operation, and can be pivoted and/or moved into a position that forms a night surround, in which it/they close the entrance and/or the exit.

  • Patent number: 6266922
Abstract: A revolving door with a ceiling drive beam that is integrated into the ceiling construction, whereby the ceiling construction consists of two circular segments. The ceiling drive beam is located between the segments and is continuous over the inside diameter of the face band and is connected on the face side to the face band. The result is a component that braces and stiffens the ceiling construction, so that other elements of the ceiling construction, such as the struts that support the face band, can be realized lighter in weight and can be manufactured more economically. When the ceiling drive beam is adapted to accommodate face bands of different diameters, all that is necessary is an elongation of the ceiling drive beam on the end, while retaining its cross section.
