  • Publication number: 20250020612
Abstract: The invention describes a method and sensor for determination of a plasma-related analyte concentration in whole blood. Using a temperature-measuring resistor applied to a carrier of the sensor, an ambient temperature is determined with which hematocrit, interference concentration of electrochemically active substances, and an analyte concentration of the whole blood sample are determined in temperature-corrected manner. The temperature-corrected hematocrit is then used in order to determine a plasma-related hematocrit- and temperature-corrected analyte concentration and a plasma-related hematocrit- and temperature-corrected interference concentration. Thereupon, the analyte concentration is determined by subtracting the hematocrit- and temperature-corrected interference concentration from the hematocrit- and temperature-corrected analyte concentration.

  • Patent number: 6324901
Abstract: A process and device are disclosed for recognizing foreign bodies in viscous or fluid masses with lumpy foodstuffs. The mass to be checked runs through a measurement section, in which, pulsed ultrasonic signals are emitted through the mass, are reflected after passing through the mass, and after passing again through the mass they are received and compared with the ultrasonic echo of the reflection surface. When the changes of the received signals exceed a predetermined threshold value, a warning or actuating signal is generated to interrupt mass advance. The parameters to be evaluated for the signal may be their amplitudes, as well as the speed of change of their amplitudes or the propagation times.

  • Patent number: 6286371
Abstract: The invention concerns a monitor head for ultrasound control by pulse echo process, in particular for producing a brief ultrasound pulse, unipolar as far as possible, comprising an oscillator/transmitter (26) and an oscillator/receiver (32), each provided with electrodes (28, 30, 34, 36). The oscillator/transmitter (26) and the oscillator/receiver (32) are made of the same material. The oscillator/transmitter (26) and the oscillator/receiver (32) are arranged directly one behind the other, in the sound propagation direction, in particular flat-bonded one on the other.

  • Patent number: 4680967
Abstract: This invention relates to an ultrasonic angle test probe comprising at least two ultrasonic transducers for respectively generating and receiving ultrasonic waves propagating in different directions. According to the invention, in order to obtain relatively small wedge shaped coupling members and small coupling surfaces on the side of the probe contacting the workpiece, a plurality of transducers are disposed above one another instead of side by side. In a typical embodiment, a first transducer is disposed on a first wedge-shaped coupling member and second transducer is disposed on a second wedge-shaped coupling member superposed upon said first coupling member for providing different angles of propagation of sound waves responsive to energizing one or the other transducer.

  • Patent number: 4140607
Abstract: A method of modifying the surface of polymeric substrate materials, such as textile fabric including woven polymeric textile or textile fibers, by means of electron bombardment in a low pressure gas discharge medium to produce chemical and/or physical changes in the thus treated surface thereby improving the technological properties of the polymeric material, e.g., improved anti-static properties, dye absorption, dirt resistance, releasing of dirt absorbed and hydrophilation, among others.
