  • Patent number: 4393005
Abstract: Cationic phthalocyanine dyes of the formula ##STR1## where Pc is an (m+n+p)-valent phthalocyanine radical, R.sup.1 is H or alkyl, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 independently of one another are alkyl, hydroxyalkyl, cycloalkyl, benzyl, phenyl or tolyl, or ##STR2## is pyrrolidinyl, imidazolyl, 2-ethyl-4-methylimidazolyl, morpholinyl, piperazinyl or N'-alkylpiperazinyl, or is ##STR3## R.sup.4 is H or methyl, R.sup.5 is alkyl, hydroxyalkyl or benzyl, X.sup..sym. is one equivalent of an anion, M.sup..crclbar. is one equivalent of a cation, z is 1 or 2, p is 0 or 1, m is 0 or 1 and n is from 1 to 4, and 1<(m+n)<4, are readily or highly soluble in water and very substantive on paper, and accordingly are particularly suitable for dyeing and printing paper. Paper dyed with (I) has very good bleeding fastness, and a colorless effluent is obtained when paper is wet-end dyed.

  • Patent number: 4213757
Abstract: Aqueous dye formulations which contain one or more sparingly water-soluble, or water-insoluble, phthalocyanine-sulfonamides of the formula ##STR1## where A is a (n+m)-valent radical of copper phthalocyanine, cobalt phthalocyanine or nickel phthalocyanine which may be substituted by up to 4 chlorine or bromine atoms, R is hydrogen, alkyl of 1 to 5 carbon atoms or alkoxyalkyl of a total of 3 to 7 carbon atoms, R.sup.1 is a substituted or unsubstituted aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, araliphatic or aromatic radical, or ##STR2## is a saturated 5-membered or 6-membered heterocyclic ring, X.sup..sym. is H.sup..sym., an alkali metal ion, (NH.sub.4).sup..sym. or ##STR3## (where R and R.sup.1 have the above meanings), n is 2, 3 or 4 and m is 0 or 1, together with one or more conventional dispersing agents and humectants and with or without a disinfectant. The formulations give very fast prints and dyeings on cellulose and on cellulose-containing fibers.

  • Patent number: 4181668
Abstract: Anthraquinone dyes of the formula ##STR1## where R is C.sub.1 -C.sub.10 -alkyl, C.sub.5 -C.sub.8 -cycloalkyl, alkoxyalkyl of a total of 3 to 11 carbon atoms, phenoxyalkyl, where alkyl is of 2 to 4 carbon atoms, or phenyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl.On synthetic fibers and blends thereof with cellulosic fibers, the dyes give brilliant clear blues. The dyes are particularly suitable for transfer printing onto synthetic fibers and give high color yields. The transfer prints obtained have excellent fastness characteristics.

  • Patent number: 3939162
Abstract: Anthrapyrimidine dyes of the formula: ##SPC1##In whichA is saturated alkylene of two to eight carbon atoms or cycloalkylene of six to eight carbon atoms; and ##EQU1## B is hydrogen, or IN WHICH X is saturated alkyl of one to nine carbon atoms which may bear other substituents, phenalkyl, a five-membered or six-membered heterocyclic ring, --NHR or --OR in which R is alkyl of one to six carbon atoms, cycloalkyl of six to eight carbon atoms or unsubstituted or substituted phenyl. On synthetic fibers or in thermoplastics the dyes give yellow to orange colorations which have very good fastness properties.
