  • Patent number: 7040672
Abstract: A bolt lock, especially for control-cabinet doors or similar doors or flaps. The lock comprises a flat-bar bolt that is mounted to move parallel to the edge of the door, preferably within the arc of swing of the door. Disposed on the flat-bar bolt is at least one locking section. A bolt holder is mounted on the frame of the door to receive and hold the locking section. An actuator is provided for longitudinal displacement of the flat-bar bolt between an unlocked and a locked position. To provide a more secure lock that cannot become stuck, there is provided that to form the locking section, at least a portion of a length of the flat-bar bolt is twisted about a longitudinal axis of the bolt such that the twisted portion is disposed at an angle to an orientation of the bolt and provides a locking surface. The bolt holder is provided with a catch that is disposed at the same angle relative to the bolt as is the locking surface, with the catch being adapted to engage over the locking surface.

  • Patent number: 6439015
Abstract: A casement closure device for a door is provided, and includes a housing adapted to be fixed to a door leaf or cabinet body. A key-operated lock cylinder is removably disposed in a channel of the housing. A locking tongue is held against the housing and is rotatable between an unlocking and a locking position. The lock cylinder is uncoupled from the locking tongue and is locked in the housing when a key is withdrawn from the lock cylinder. When a key is inserted and moved to the unlocking position, the lock cylinder is removable. The locking tongue is provided with an actuation opening adapted to positively engage an actuating unit insertable in the housing channel when the lock cylinder is removed from the housing.

  • Patent number: 6363761
Abstract: A locking system for control-cabinet doors has a base member detachably mounted to an outer or inner side of a control-cabinet door. A pinion is mounted in the base member. First locking rods are mounted in the base member and are drivingly connected to the pinion. The first locking rods each have a projection extending away from the base member and engaging at least one second locking rod mounted on the inner side of the control-cabinet door to be longitudinally moveable for latching and unlatching the control-cabinet door. A detachable exterior cover is attached to the base member and covers the base member completely. The exterior cover has a first opening and an actuator is inserted through the first opening into the base member for rotating the pinion and moving the first locking rods.

  • Patent number: 6175992
Abstract: A hinge for metal cabinets has a first bearing support mounted to a body of a metal cabinet. A second U-shaped bearing support is attached to the door leaf of the metal cabinet by being inserted into a cutout provided in a corner area of an angled portion of the door leaf. The angled portion extends toward the body of the metal cabinet. A rotation axle of the hinge mounted in the first bearing support is positioned at an external side of the door leaf in the area of the angled portion. The second bearing support has a first bore. A fastener is received in the first bore for attaching the second bearing support to the door leaf. The first bore extends angularly to the door leaf and the angled portion. A U-shaped support bracket has U-legs embracing the second bearing support. The U-legs rests on the door leaf and the angled portion. The support bracket is provided with a second bore for penetration by the fastener.

  • Patent number: 6138484
Abstract: A rod locking device for locking cabinet doors has locking rods movable between an unlocked position for unlocking the cabinet doors and a locking position for locking the cabinet doors. A two-part lock housing having short rods arranged therein is provided. The short rods are connected by a connecting device to the locking rods. The lock housing has a drive member arranged therein and connected to the short rods. An actuating device is connected to the drive member for actuating the drive member in order to move the short rods. The short rods have a length such that, in a retracted position, the short rods do not project from the lock housing. The lock housing has a base plate to be positioned at the exterior side of the cabinet door at a door penetration.

  • Patent number: 5893282
Abstract: A locking device for control cabinet doors has a plate with a depression attached to an outwardly facing side of a door leaf. The pivot lever is positioned in the depression. A projection is connected to a face of the plate facing the door leaf, the projection extending through a cutout of the door leaf past an inwardly facing side of the door leaf. A cap is connected to a free end of the projection, wherein the cap and the projection define a receiving chamber. A lock for locking the pivot lever when folded into the depression is provided. A housing matching the design and size of the lock is provided. The lock is enclosed and secured in the housing. The housing is exchangeably positioned in the receiving chamber. The plate has a receiving opening for providing access to the lock. The receiving opening has a periphery matching the shape of the housing.

  • Patent number: 5519920
Abstract: A hinge for holding two components, such as a cabinet and its door or the like, that are supported so as to pivotable relative to one another about the axis of the hinge. The hinge has a hinge support that is disposed on one of the components and has two aligned eyelets. A hinge bolt is connected to the other component and extends through the eyelets in order to connect the components. To be able to displace the components relative to one another, the hinge bolt is fixedly connected to its component and the eyelets are attached to the hinge bolt via pivotable connected rods such that the eyelets are displaceable along an axis of the hinge bolt, with the hinge bolt having such a configuration that rotation of the hinge bolt effects displacement of the eyelets.
