  • Patent number: 4917944
Abstract: The invention describes a weatherable, plasticizer-free, uncrosslinked, and deep-drawable sheet, especially for the internal outfitting and external outfitting of automotive vehicles, as well as a process for its production, containing 65-25% by weight of a partially crystalline ethylene-propylene-diene terpolymer and 35-75% by weight of a homo- and/or copolymer of propylene, 0-10% by weight of fillers, as well as stabilizers and lubricants, the extruded or calendered sheet exhibiting a tensile strength at break in the longitudinal direction of at least 20 N/mm.sup.2. An advantageous further development of the invention comprises a composite sheet of EPDM/PP sheet with a crosslinked polyolefin foam layer.

  • Patent number: 4751121
Abstract: The invention describes a multi-ply, self-adhesive and deep-drawable protective sheet, especially for the internal and external outfitting of automotive vehicles, consisting of a carrier sheet containing a thermoplastic synthetic resin based on an ethylene-propylene-diene terpolymer and/or an ethylene-propylene copolymer and a homo- and/or copolymer of propylene, small amounts of fillers and conventional additives; a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer based on an alkyl acrylate and/or methacrylate and/or a copolymerizable, ethylenically unsaturated monomer, such as acylic acid, and a cover layer of a unilaterally siliconized polyolefin film.

  • Patent number: 4511619
Abstract: A sealing sheet for the building industry made up of at least one layer which contains an elastomeric synthetic resin that is devoid of, i.e., free of vulcanization accelerator, and that contains fillers, especially carbon admixed with an ethylene-propylene-diene terpolymer and/or ethylene-propylene copolymer and which has, on the outside and/or between layers of a synthetic resin, a reinforcing layer laminated in place with the use of heat and comprised of a fabric, a mat, a knitted material, a nonwoven material, or a similar material formed of a synthetic resin and/or of glass fibers.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 4447488
Abstract: A shaped article of a polymeric material has a shaped structure containing at least one polymeric component which is weldable, e.g. by heat, and at least one polymeric component which can be crosslinked by high-energy radiation. The crosslinkable polymeric component is homogeneously distributed within the shaped structure and is crosslinked at least partially in a part of the shaped structure, including at least a portion of the shaped structure.

Inventors: Manfred Simm, Karl-Heinz Spiess, Richard Weiss
  • Patent number: 4435466
Abstract: A multi-layered sealing sheet for the building industry is prepared so that all plies which contain elastomeric synthetic resins are devoid of vulcanization accelerator and consist of an elastomeric synthetic resin on the basis of ethylene-propylene-diene terpolymers and/or ethylene-propylene copolymers. A reinforcing insert is laminated in between the layers with the use of heat and is a fabric, a mat, a knitted material, or a similar material of synthetic resin fibers and/or glass fibers.

  • Patent number: 3954537
Abstract: A process for the production of multiple-layer sheets, panels, shaped articles, or the like laminates having at least one layer of polyurethane foam material wherein at least one side of the polyurethane foam layer is bonded under the action of heat to a layer of cross-linked polyethylene foam material.
