  • Patent number: 7614863
Abstract: A pump (10) possesses a rotor (70), the rotor collar (120) of which laterally delimits a pumping duct (124) with an inlet (152) and an outlet. An axially adjustable sealing slide (182) bears sealingly against the rotor collar (120) on both sides in the axial direction and subdivides the pumping duct (124) between the inlet (152) and the outlet. A first bearing point for the drive shaft (60), for the supporting mounting of the drive shaft in the radial direction, is present within the clear space region occupied in the axial direction by the rotor (70).

  • Patent number: 5980225
Abstract: The pump (20) has a rotor (80) rotatable by a drive in a pump duct (25). The rotor (80) has a pump element (90) with undulating boundary faces extending radially. The boundary faces are bounded cylindrically and run in a fitted manner in a cylindrical conveying region (27), their highest points running adjacent to the end faces (35) of the pump duct in a sealed manner. In addition, a sealing slide (31) is provided, which is displaceable parallel to the axis of rotation (76) and which seals off the pump duct (25) between the inlet (22) and the outlet (23), so that during rotation the rotor (80) follows the undulating movement of the boundary faces (96) of the pump element (90). In addition, sealing means seal off the media-conveying pump chambers from the housing (21). The rotor (80) is detachably connected to the drive shaft (180) while forming connecting boundary faces, which are arranged on the drive side on the other side of the sealing means with respect to the media-conveying pump chambers.

  • Patent number: 5613846
Abstract: A fluid conveying device in accordance with the invention includes a housing having an inlet forming a suction side and an outlet forming a pressure side, a cylindrical pumping chamber with intake and discharge openings at opposite sides which respectively are in fluid communication with the suction side and the pressure side and a rotor contained in the chamber having a hollow rotor body mounted for eccentric rotation relative to an axis of the chamber.

  • Patent number: 4575324
Abstract: A rotary fluid pump has a rotor with a sinusoidal, undulating, vane projecting radially from a hub portion rotatable in a pump chamber having a suction chamber, discharge chamber and a transport zone extending circumferentially from the suction chamber to the discharge chamber. The transport zone has a cylindrical inner periphery which is slidably engaged by the periphery of the rotor vane and opposite planar end walls slidably engaged by crests of the undulating vane. Between the suction chamber and the discharge chamber there is a gate assembly with two sliders engaging opposite sides of the vane respectively and interconnected by a bow spring so that they move together. The gate assembly, rotor and casing parts forming the pump chamber are all contained in a cylindrical outer housing, from which they are easily removed for cleaning, inspection and replacement.

  • Patent number: 4465445
Abstract: A pivoted vane rotary pump especially for pumping food-stuff and abrasive material comprises a split housing in which a hub is rotatable, with an annular channel formed between the outer periphery of the hub and the inner periphery of the housing. Pivoted vanes on the hub are rotatable about radial axes between a position in which they are crosswise of a transport portion of the channel between an intake and a discharge and a position in which they move edgewise in a restricted sealing portion of the channel between the discharge and the intake. The housing is lined with elastomeric plastic material which is vulcanized to metal housing parts of pumps for handling foodstuff or corrosive media, or is vulcanized to metal carrier plates removably secured to housing parts of pumps for handling abrasive media. The pump can be easily disassembled for cleaning and for servicing, including replacement of the plastic lining of pumps for abrasive media.

  • Patent number: 4082485
Abstract: A rotary pump has a housing providing an annular passageway in which vanes carried by a rotor move in a circular path. The vanes are in the form of circular discs on the outer ends of radial shafts rotatably mounted in a hollow hub portion of the rotor. The annular passageway of the housing has a pumping portion of circular cross section with a diameter equal to that of the vanes and a sealing portion having a cross section corresponding to the cross section of the vanes. The angular orientation of the vanes is cyclically controlled so that the vanes are orthogonal to the passageway when in the pumping portion and are in line with the passageway when in the sealing portion. Control is effected by means of two separate rollers on an eccentric inner extension of each of the vane shafts. One roller engages a stationary annular cam coaxial with the rotor axis.

  • Patent number: 3985479
Abstract: A rotary piston pump comprises vanes mounted on shafts extending radially from a hub and travelling around an annular channel having a forwarding or pumping portion of circular cross section and a restricted sealing portion corresponding in cross section to the diametrical cross section of the vanes. Control means is provided for turning the vanes about radial axes so as to position the vanes approximately perpendicular to their direction of movement while passing through the forwarding portion of the channel and to turn them approximately 90.degree. so as to pass through the sealing portion of the channel in an edgewise position. At the ends of the forwarding portion the channel is connected respectively with inlet and outlet passageways. The control means include springs which permit the vanes to rotate in order to give way in the event that foreign bodies penetrate and have eccentrics and cam tracks, with cam rollers or cams if necessary.
