  • Patent number: 10377583
Abstract: A method and device for conveying large-area panels, particularly panes of glass, of extreme size over 40 meters long and over 6 meters wide, wherein the panel can be held from the bath side or the air side, said method comprising the following features: a) the panes of glass (10) delivered on conveyance rollers (17) are swung by means of a vertical hoisting device (20) either on the left side or right side at an acute angle, wherein the device (20) has finger-like carrying elements structured in a comb arrangement which grip through the conveyance rollers (17) and carry suction discs (12); b) swung in this way, the pane of glass (10) is gripped by means of a plurality of comb grippers (22) using suction discs (12), which grippers are synchronized in their sequence of movements, and placed on a stacking frame (15, 16), wherein the comb grippers (22) are moved on a plurality of guiding beams (2) arranged like a portal.

  • Patent number: 10232487
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for trimming a module are disclosed. In and embodiment the method includes fixing a rear transverse side of module, guiding the rear cutting head along the rear transverse side thereby cutting off a rear overlapping portion of the overlapping film and releasing the rear transverse. The method further includes moving the module into a region of two longitudinal cutting devices, fixing the module on both longitudinal sides, guiding longitudinal cutting heads along the longitudinal sides thereby cutting off longitudinally overlapping film portions on both longitudinal sides, and releasing the longitudinal sides of the module. The method furthermore includes moving the module into a region of the front cutting device, fixing a front transverse side of the module, guiding a front cutting head along the front transverse side thereby cutting off a front overlapping portion of the overlapping film.

  • Patent number: 8210339
Abstract: A device and a method for sorting and stacking glass plates of different thicknesses and/or different formats over a divided transport line is described. The device and method are characterized by the following: 1) an aligning device which aligns the glass plates against a left and/or a right abutment strip by means of controllable rolls; 2) a stacking device which lowers the plates supplied by the aligning device and stacks them one above the other; 3) a connectable paper insertion device which lays paper from a store onto a plate; 4) an upright positioner which rotates the stacked plates by a right angle and aligns them on a vertical aligning device; 5) and a robot gripping arm which grips the glass plates aligned on the upright positioner and transports them away for further use.

  • Publication number: 20110107887
Abstract: Embodiments of an apparatus and a method for automatically trimming a rectangular photovoltaic module are disclosed. The module comprises two longitudinal sides and two transverse sides and comprising two equally sized glass plates which rest one on the other and further comprises an intermediate layer comprising a film overlapping the glass plates on all sides. The apparatus comprises: a) holding means for fixing the rear transverse side of the module, b) means for the edge-precise cutting of the overlapping film of the module on the rear transverse side, c) means for the edge-precise, simultaneous cutting off of the overlapping film of the module on both longitudinal sides, d) holding means for fixing the front transverse side of the module, and e) means for the edge-precise cutting off of the overlapping film of the module on the front transverse side. A computer program for carrying out the method is also disclosed.
